Went into the LBS this morning to enquire about getting my commuter fixed up, she needs a bit of TLC after the long winter. I ended up trading her in a for a Giant TCX 2 :o
Bike looks great, will be a bullet proof commuter and great winter trainer (I keep telling myself) Going to have to sneak it into the shed without Mrs Staggerlee noticing, its a completely different colour to the other bikes though

Upgraded to Strava premium there. Not for any particular feature, but want to give them some money, I enjoy using it so much.

Had premium for the best part of last year thanks to all the freebie codes, thought some of the features were really cool like suffer score etc. etc., but I use garminconnect more so can't warrant paying them the little amount it costs to go back to premium :o

Me too. Premium is not worth the money, but wanted to support them.

It is, if you need to see how all the other Over 65s are doing.

Alas the fastest pensioners out there are too busy training to bother with Garmins, Strava and the like

I know a number of septugenarians who are capable of winning high quality races and establishing pretty impressive Strava records if they had the inclination.

Try to encourage them. I would enjoy some more Irish company in the over 65s age group. As Garmin and smartphone users age I'm sure the figures will improve. You're all moving in my direction:D

In the present challenge there is only one other guy from Ireland and no ladies. The top guy in the group already has 900+, which is fairly impressive. If I can just stay on page 1 to the finish I will be doing very well.

Picked up my first road bike a few days ago, was going for the Boardman Road Team but with a couple of discounts the Road Team Carbon came in at €1240 so I couldn't say no! Full 105 set, best I could find for ages with similar spec in aluminium was the Cube Peloton Race for €1300. Used the B2W too so great savings. Just brought her out for 25k this evening, really nice ride :D

Very appropriate for this thread - you should have left the credit card at home!
