I'm looking forward to hearing more about this group of academy players, i think a lot of gems will come from this crop i hope, i'm hearing good things about Greg O'Shea and Jack Cullan so i hope they can do well in the academy

Holland is nothing special, decent squad player. Ryan is nearly 30 already anyway and Foley and Nagle are very unproven.

3 makes sense i guess especially as they are all different ages.
Holland is decent option at pro12 and showed this season just gone that he's better than I thought he was.
Ryan doesn't have huge mileage done so has quite a few years left at the top level. 2nd rows can play much longer than other positions in general.
Surely other positions are in much more need for signings. Halfbacks, centre

I do hope then, we see more of J.J and Bohane next season, they both look good players for years to come, I hope to see them get game time next year,

can only sign players if there is talented guys coming through.

a homegrown munster centre is a rare sight.

shame to see David Doyle has retired due to injury.

agree,I wonder will he go abroad or what.
Huge talent, always had immense physical presence and great footballing ability

Fair play to Dardis, Leinster would only give that to a really good player straight out of School. He must be very good.

Molony straight out of school too-although an age grade older. I would Dardis in the same bracket as Conway when he left school-bags of potential.

Delighted for Dardis. Fully deserved. I remember Conway was similarly very elusive for Rock at fullback.

College, AIL rugby, u-19s rugby (maybe u20s), hope to get into the Academy next year.

Although there will be two strong candidates pushing for their own Academy spot in the centre next season in the form of Peter Robb and Rory O'Loughlin.

Peter Robb is more suited to the English kinda game, maybe a move to Rotherham or Doncaster could be his calling. O'Loughlin oozes class, would rate him very highly. Can mix it up with the physical as well which is also impressive.

Brewer is only leaving school, will be eligible for the under-20s for 2 years. Loads of time. Very, very few players go from under-18 Leinster to academy straight from school.

Still think Tom Farrell could also be in with a shout. Hopefully he can perform at the JWC.

Yes there's a good crop of centres coming through. I'll be interested to see how Sebastien Fromm does out of school, and then you have Fergal Cleary and Andy Marks who have the potential to be picked up out of school.

If I'm not mistaken, after this season, Tom Daly will be the only centre in the Academy (excluding Byrne who I think will go down the back-three path), so I'd expect a couple to be taken in.

Fergal Cleary, Adam Leavy and Andy Marks are going into 6th year and are all talented, rate Cleary highest right now. All three u19 next year.

Harrison Brewer and Michael Courtney are both eligible u19 next year aswell, both are leaving school this year though. Have heard Brewer will be skipping to u20 level though not sure about Courtney.

Sebastian Fromm, I think is u20 this season along with Robb and O'Loughlin

I'm not sure about Fromm, but given that he's still in school I'd say he's u19. Robb and O'Loughlin are both u19. They paired together this year against England and France.

Agree that Cleary is a veryt talented centre as ge proved with Leinster and Ireland U18S

Would say that from what i have seen Marks is a full back and Leavy is a winger-doers not have the physical presence to play centre at the top level. Courtney leaving CBC and is in the LU19 panel for next season.

Sorry I meant u20 next season with Robb and O'Loughlin.

I assume Fromm wouldn't be viewed as a NIQ player, hard to really know.

well he's been here 3 years, just like Vas Artemyev was, and was asked to play Irish schools Im pretty sure but didnt because of his allegiance to Germany

personally I have always thought moving forward that Cleary should try for scrum half, for me he is to small to be a centre. He is a talented boy though.

Is he any shorter than Olding though. I don't know his height so I can't really make judgement, but the likes of Marshall,D'Arcy,O'Malley and Olding aren't so tall themselves.

you are forgetting about BOD, who is 5'9.5

Cleary is around 5'10, but he is certainly not of slight build.

Yeah but Brian O'Driscoll is the exception to any rule so I left him out of it.

I thought 5'8 to 5'9 but you might grab another inch at best. He is a good player with a great side step, just think that with his good hands that he might be suited to a role at scrum half. Not very many international centres at less than 5'10 now. Messers D'arcy and BOD have always been the exception.
