But think of the freshy cleanliness of new sheets. :)

<snuggles into duvet and sighs happily>

I changed my bedsheets. I decided I deserve a snuggly bed tonight.

Things have been getting me to since a bad discussion with a doctor last week. I went to my GP. He had some laid out the tough reality of things to me, but he was lovely and helpful and I really believe in him. One of the truths is that my mother is having a hard time with me being trans, which I know but this is the first time I've heard someone say it out loud, and it was obvious he was caring for me in saying it too. So I had a little cry in the GP's surgery.

That weighed on my mind as I got a lift home. The drive ended with me having another cry while I wee'd (Sexeh!) and a big cry in my bed. Then I had a big emotional chat with my mother, which involved cries of various intensities and lengths. And all in all my evening has been extremely cathartic, I feel much better but I have a regular reality of life to face.

I do not like my job and I do not like the industry I'm in and I picked the entirely wrong thing to do with my education and career. I'm good at what I do but I'll never be the best at it. I just don't have the temperament for it. I don't like the attitudes that prevail and I don't like how people conduct themselves. I thought it was that I was lazy and didn't want to work when in reality it's that I simply don't like what I'm doing.

I like talking to people. I like making people happy. I like caring for people. I don't like seeing people sad and upset. I would go out of my way to help someone and I ****ing love making people feel better about themselves. I'm going to have to think about this for a few days and let it rest in my mind, but I'll be spending time thinking how I can change my scenario. Even if that means giving up on my private jet and fancy home with craft room, dark room and pinball arcade.

Edit: tl:dr I was miserable, cried a lot, talked to people, then came up with a plan. Knowing the problem is half the battle (or at least some proportion of it.)

Im just feeling bleh about myself. :(

I can relate. I used to have horrible periods, they would be really heavy, last about 3 weeks and id only get them twice a year. I lost the weight and they were still heavy but would last a week and a half to 2 weeks and i would be in agony!

Hope you get cuddles and chocolate soon!

    Feel better soon xx
That sounds awful :( Mine aren't heavy, I just feel bleh the week before and the week of the period. Only two weeks of normality every month. Thank you, even though I'm supposed to be on a diet, there's Aero in the fridge and a J in the house so I should be good soon :)

You should definitely be entitled to something, and it'll definitely be worth it if you're on less than a three-day week. I'll probably only get 3-4 days a week, but that'll have to do me!

Go and hunt down a new career so. It's so easy to just drift on in a career you don't like 'cos "that's what I'm good at / studied" but being happy in your career is so important. A couple of my sisters have changed careers in their late 40s and seem so much happier...

I agree, I'm not sure where I heard this but apparently a Chinese Proverb

"The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is now"

If you're not happy come up with a plan to change. It can be done. I've done it recently and am so much happier I can't even begin to explain!

Yeah. I just need to figure out how now. I know I want to do something involving people, preferably individuals. I just don't know how I get into that from where I am. Going back to studying would involve money I don't have and if I did have I'd spend on medical stuff. I'm at a bit of a loss, but I'll keep thinking. I don't want to spring another serious chat on anyone tonight so I'll keep an eye on things. Maybe if I could use my business qualifications to get me into something care related on the business side while I save and do part time education in the meantime.

Secondary school is less unusual. I used to go clubbing with a few of mine in 6th year. Never shifted any of them though!

One of the people in here had a kid recently and he sent an email saying thanks for the collection present... few of the people on my team never saw any collection but would like to do something small. I hear the best thing is to avoid the clothes and toys and go straight for practical
    any ideas?

You can't go wrong with a Next voucher. :)

Other than that find out what nappies/wipes they're using and get them feck loads (bigger sizes in nappies than currently).

Bibs bibs bibs bibs bibs. I used about 5 a day on James, drool monster.
