Audio keeps cutting out on off bad lag on audio
    Tried both hdmi and scart
    Getting same on both
tried on hdmi audio delay fixed at first then problem came back
scart is the same audio cutting in/out
anyone find a way to sort this

I had the same problem on mine. After two calls to tech support, the talked me through doing a factory reset on the box. When it next booted up, it retuned all channels, and audio came back just perfect. It's been working correctly now for well over a week.

Yes you can but you wont be able to use the media library if you connect your computer to other router you will have 2 networks both will work

If you know what your doing it may be possible. If you turn off DHCP in the TP link. Then connect it via cable to a LAN (not wan port). If the wireless on the TP link is still on, depending on it's setup you may have two wireless networks both on the same IP range etc so any device connected should see everything else.

You would need to know how to set up networks. Alternatively just buy a hub with as many ports as you need.

I HAD SET UP USING BOTH MY ROUTER AND ALSO UPC ROUTER IN BOX
I got both working but I have decided to use the upc horizon only as the signal and speed is about the same
    I get 52.3 wired on 50mb package
I get 35-42 Mb on Wireless around the house witch is good for wireless
By the way if anyone of you have problems with your remote after you pair keyboard with media box and the remote freezes just take the batteries out and leave for about 5min and put batteries back in all will work both tv and keyboard

I rang UPC today for twonky licence code and thay said twonky have decided not to support for now as there is some dlna problems
Upc said they will be sorting out the dlna problem by end of the week and call back next week for twonky licence code
I have had no problems playing videos from my pc windows media files
I tried ps3 media server and crashed a few times
Don't know what the dlna problem was upc were talking about but they said will be fixed by end of the week
It picks up all my devices on the media box so not sure what dlna problem there having with horizon is
Did any of you get a twonky Licence today or was the guy from upc making it up

Yeah I'd call back for a second opinion. Support people tend to make up stuff like this when they can't find out how to do something on their own system.

When I put in my license key, Twonky didn't give me an affirmative. The 30 day eval message just disappeared. I did it while I was on the phone to them but didn't need to go back over it.

I'm having terrible audio issues, constantly dropping in and out every couple seconds. Not a tv issue or a cable issue have tested each. Pretty much makes the box unusable. How do you factory reset?

Settings - Horizon TV HD+ - Factory Reset.

I think if it asks for a pin it's 0000.

    Then it will reboot.

Thanks. Only been 10 mins but this seems to have worked.

EDIT: I noticed my home media had been wiped so did the home media catalogue option in settings and now audio issue is back. It seems if you tell the horizon box to scan your home network for media it causes the audio to lag while watching tv. The box constantly monitors your network for new media which is probably why the audio issues persist when you pick the media scan option in settings

This could be to do with my NAS which is a Netgear Stora, maybe this NAS isn't compatible with Horizon or something like that.

Tried a factory reset but kept my settings and recordings. Made no difference. I also have a NAS attached. Can you remove these in settings?

How many files do you have in your media library? The ch site says that if there is over 1000 (which is everybody) then the box cant handle it and goes tits up.

    I've a fair few alright ;)

Page 53 of the ch User manual. Link posted many times in the last few pages.

Basically say factory rest and don't opt in to scan home media

Plugged the cat 6 cable out of the NAS and no audio issues since. Will do bother factory reset and won't scan in any media.

You have to chose not to keep your settings.

I've about 2.5TB on NAS so that explains it. Hope they push an update to fix this.

I've added a few channels to favourites but now I want to remove all favourites as there only seems to be an option to add just 12 channels.

In settings>favourites I can un-tick the channels I added as favourites but when I exit the menu to save the selection, all the channels are back again as favourites.

Does anyone know how to permanently remove channels added to favourites?

You can add as many favourites as you want as far as I can see. It's working well for me anyway. I think the old box had a limit of 50 and I've selected way more than that with this box.

To remove them you need to unselect them, then highlight 'Confirm List' in the left hand column and select OK. If you just unselect them and exit the menu they stay in your favourites list.

I was trying to modify my favourites list last night, I was trying to add History HD. I could see it on the list of available channels and I ticked it and confirmed the list, but it still didn't show up on my favourites. Tried this a few times and still no good.

    Just checked my box :
Signal Strength is in the lower half of the Medium section.
Signal Quality is very high, at the very end of the scale

Surprised that my SS is only low medium, as the feed for my street comes directly from the road side cabinet and in through my garden to feed the street. I have a direct feed with no splitters to the Horizon box .. I would have expected a High SS...

Has anybody else had the problem of the box recording something in standby and continuing to record, stuck in standby until you hard reset?

Happened twice since I got the box on thursday, was away on saturday and it recorded a single 1300 minute recording instead of modern family.

I got a call last night from a UPC rep to say they have pushed out a software update to fix this issue. If you go into settings->horizon tv hd+->software or something like that. I have applied the update this morning, will see how it goes.

Same with mine, the SS was in the low section until i removed the splitter and connected straight to the white box. It then moved up into the medium.

The last box showed my SS at over 80% so it seems this box is more sensitive.

With regards to adding favourite channels, is there a way to just display them in the guide when they've been added? I couldn't find a "favourites view"?

One gripe i have is the now and next menu. When watching a channel if you hit the OK button it really should display the now and next menu and from there you should be able to browse up and down through the channels.

Instead you have to hit the back button to bring it up, the mini preview screen then totally slows down the browsing. Its pointless, all i need is the name and information of whats on.

Its ok for me to figure out ways around it but the rest of the family is now flicking up and down channels because the browsing is not intuitive. And at the moment its actually quicker to physically change a channel than to browse to it in now and next.
