The trouble with 'fair use' clauses is that it's up to a court to decide if it's fair use or not. And it rarely goes to court as it's invariably cheaper to settle out of court even if you do win the case. Law firms know this and have made an industry out of it.
DeviantArt did a piece on Fan Art Law, it's super long, so I just left it on and did some cleaning (close to this part they talk about 'fair use')
edit: mentions "comments, teachings, scholarship research, 'sometimes in other settings' " not just fan art

I can't watch it at the moment but what's the story with the partnership? That sounds really mad. Like two old enemies teaming up together to take out these new kids who think they own the place.

Is it finally time for the Super Mega Dream Cube?

I don't think Nintendo are going bankrupt any time soon, if the WiiU bombs it's not going to bankrupt them as they get paid royalties up the arse for alot of their creations (Pokemon etc).

Not to mention that so far the 3DS is a very successful earner for them.

Which lets not forget, was practically void of any reason to own for at least a year, & has since become a big player. The Wii U is only out about six months...

I just haven't gotten the same 'sense' of it being a new Nintendo console, you know what I mean?

Every time they release a new console (even if there aren't many good games) you still get this sense of it being an event - Nintendo have a new platform, rejoice! I haven't had any of that with the WiiU. In fact, I keep forgetting it even exists.

Saying that, I did have a lot of fun with Ciderman's one at a recent beers. But that was mainly because of the great multiplayer craic.

I knew from day one of owning a 3DS that it would be a success. Just don't have that same feeling with the WiiU - and it does worry me. Would had for it to flop and see Nintendo in trouble :(

There's a new Sonic & Mario at the Winter Olympics game. Looks like fairly standard stuff, nice to see the HD gloss on it though.

And there's a brand new Sonic: Lost World game exclusive for Nintendo. They didn't say anything about it, it's probably going to be a big thing for them to talk about come E3 time.

Best thing about the broadcast? The Wonderful 101 has a release date of 23 August. Really looking forward to that one, it's been the WiiU game I've been most interested in since day one.

Sonic & Mario at the Winter Olympics - the series nobody ever asked for. Boggles my mind how these things get made!

It took all week but I finally beat Artorias in Dark Souls. Really wish they'd hurry up with the patch though, apparently it's already out in Japan.

Enjoy man! It's a feckin live saver. 4kg Airlink Transformer - £9.00 and then an additional €2.50. I hate to think what that would have cost going standard international post.

Yeah I've used it good few times now but never got the full benefit when you have to spend €15 diesel driving up and back. Will have to celebrate with a PCB purchase. :pac:
