    We know. ;)

The prize was exactly as outlined - if your name was drawn then you got the opportunity to try and hit the crossbar.
The first one was for 50k the end of season one was for 1m.

Outlined as that on here I know, I think that's where I'm confused though. Wasn't everyone who entered the competition put into a draw and someone would win a million pounds?

Simple answer no you had to hit the crossbar

    It reads differently to me.

    3. Prize: The first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries who have answered the question correctly will win the prize. The winner will be contacted on their phone number on the competition draw date. Strathan ME Limited will not amend contact information provided. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner. Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery may result in forfeiture of the prize. If they cannot be contacted, or are unable comply with these terms and conditions, Strathan ME Limited reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.

Don't see any mention of 1m either don't even knows what the question was surely it was about hitting a crossbar.

But it was advertised as a million pound prize, jelle and eirebear even confirmed it here
The writing there looks like its telling people that the winner will be chosen from everyone who entered??
Anyone know who Strathan ME Ltd are?? They seem to be setting the Terms and Conditions

I knew that that's what you were talking about, just wanted to see it confirmed first.

Paul McConville or the RTC aren't the best of sources (the latter posted about this first in September, IIRC) ;)

For what it's worth: Every participant gets a signed jersey, so maybe that's what everyone wins who gets drawn.
Or maybe the prize after a draw is the actual participation in the crossbar challenge.

"The Prize" is the chance of kicking the ball towards the crossbar, Lubo - you'd make a ****e cop, and a worse journalist, your leading questions are terribly obvious at times.

Just so people know what this is about, a post on Paul McConville's 'Random Thoughts Re Scots Law' website.

The same Paul McConville who was guilty of stealing miners' money.

    http://scotslawthoughts.wordpress.com/2013/05/06/red-card-warning-for-rangers-1-million-competition-by-ecojon/#more-3642

I actually thought it was a decent website in the beginning, who offered several viewpoints on the whole mess Rangers were in.

But now it's just a joke of a site, purely obsessed with Rangers.

So the prize is being chosen to have a go at the crossbar?

As for that link Jelle I've not looked at it nor know what it says (maybe u can tell us). I'm just wondering who Strathan ME are and their connection to the club. Reason being is I don't get the wording that if they choose a winner and ring them, but if said winner then doesn't answer their phone for whatever reason then Strathan ME will just keep the prize and don't need to contact anyone else. Maybe its just me who finds things like that strange.

I'm obviously reading it wrong. Be nice to think someone would actually have become a millionaire out of it all

Nobody, but the guy who did it came mighty close.

No he didn't, the ball bounced before the edge of the box and trickled wide!

The prize was a signed top and the chance to hit the crossbar for one million pounds at the final home game, it's bloody simple!

I saw quite a few attempt it over the season and they were all awful.

Enough about Lee McCulloch's free kick taking for now...

DUNDEE UNITED skipper Jon Daly has agreed a deal to sign for Rangers.

The 30-year-old was initially targeted by Ibrox manager Ally McCoist back in January and has been in talks with the club for the past three months.

MK Dons and Hibs were also keen on Daly, while United offered him a deal to stay. But SunSport understands the Ibrox move is now agreed — and that he could put pen to paper as early as next week.

It’s understood he will sign a two-year deal with the option of a third season at the Light Blues.

He won’t be able to officially register until the transfer embargo is lifted on September 1.

Daly scored 22 times last season and has found the net on 15 occasions this year, despite spending much of the campaign playing at centre-back. Daly joined United from Hartlepool in 2007 and became a massive influence at Tannadice.

Often played at centre-back in emergencies, he still sees his best position as up front and will be charged with leading the Gers’ attack in Division Two next season.

The former Hartlepool striker will become the first player from the Republic of Ireland to star in Rangers’ first team for 80 years.

Meanwhile, United boss Jackie McNamara, who faces losing Aberdeen target Willo Flood and Barry Douglas to Lech Poznan, claims he has no problem with out-of-contract players looking elsewhere.

He had hoped to keep the trio but said: “They’ve got a right and they have conducted themselves in an exemplary fashion when I’ve been speaking to them.

“They’ve been honest with me and there hasn’t been a problem.”

Not the kind of signing that will get fans excited I'd say...

My only issue is that he's no spring chicken - other than that, delighted to have him on board.

He's only 30! He's mobility wasnt a big issue in the SPL, not going to be one in the SFL2. He's a good allround game otherwise. I'd be very surprised to see him go the way of Sandaza who was about to hang up his boots before DUTD offered him a contract

32-33 by the time we get back to the SPL.
As i say, I think he'll do well for us but at the same time i;d rather see us bring in a younger lad who will be of use to us come our return to the top.

Yer thinking too far ahead tbh and Daly's speed isnt going to hinder him, even in 2 years time bar serious injury. He's a wrecking ball if used right.

It's a pity the papers are going down the "Irish Catholic" road. It's sad because I wonder will he be affected by it. Most of the Rangers fans I've talked to don't give a sh1t where he's from. It's more a case of they wanted a younger player brought in. As usual the focus will be in the usual one or two clowns that oppose the move and they whole situation will blow up.

It's really irritating to see the daily record with the whole Irish Catholic thing. Who cares?

it's the Daily record - all they know how to do is stir up trouble and "scandal", if it wasn't for the old firm divide they'd be out of business in a flash.

I blame articles like that for a lot of the closed minded and sectarian views out there, shouldnt matter if he prays to sol, athena, jehovah or none at all.. all that matters if hes going to do a good job for you, and it pains me to say that i think he will haha

I think he'll be a very good signing for you, good mobility for a big guy and good in the air and on the ground.
