You've missed the point. If he's not a catholic then the article is accurate as they refer to Daly as an Irish Catholic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,666 ✭✭✭blahfckingblah

it is weird that we are still talking about firsts given the proximity of ireland to glasgow

    Nope.

TBH I couldn't give a flying **** if they were French Buddhist or Iraqi Sikh, the fact of the matter is that the media are perpetually trying to stir up trouble with this nonsense.
And sadly, it has a habit of working.

Nope but the article we are talking about cleary states the first Irish Catholic to sign for Rangers which isn't the case but hey the vast majority of us couldn't give a flying feck.
But no doubt you will want to make an issue of it

Who pissed in your cornflakes this morning?

Since you are in a pissy mood, I'll remind you that ye still actually buy players off your youth and reserves company.

Smith has signed professional forms hence why he trains with the first team
If I'm am pissed off its because the holier than though attitude I find talking to Tic fans but you go onto there forums its them that's talking about his religion and where he comes from. The vast majority of bears don't care in there it's about his age and the money we may or may not be paying him

Ye brought up the Record article and we are discussing the standards of that article. Is Smith Catholic, I've not seen any article saying he's actually a Catholic, admittedly I havent seen many articles on the player so maybe the Record are right in what they are saying about Daly, thats what I want to find out. I couldnt give a shít if he is the 1st or not but historically Rangers havent signed many Irishmen regardless of religion. Agreed that there is plenty of more news worthy stuff but their regular readers probably love that sort of stuff!

Maybe we could discuss whats going on in your boardroom, Coronation Street doesnt have as much drama! :pac:

Agreed and its been a few years since I have been on either

The Huddleboard has it's fair share of lunatics no more so than here but it's my favourite board out there for most stuff, news, films, music etc. You learn very quickly who the headers are and who to ignore. Havnet been on Ff for years so cant comment though i suspect it's kinda similar

What I said or what he said?

Most sane people are not concerned about religion these days. It's like being back in the 80's to be reading articles about it. Strange move for Daly himself to drop down 2 divisions, but I suppose the money is better.

Edit: Paddy McCourt will likely be looking for a club at the end of the season btw. Have ye signed an RC from the North yet?;)

Nope but we haven't signed an Inuit from Alaska either.
This is really typical of you a half decent conversation going on and a balloon like you comes along and makes an ass of it.

Note well the majority of bears could not give a flying one what religion he is
And this topic was not started by a bear
