Holy **** did you see the mansion this **** lives in??
I feel sorry for the two kids having to go through that, but what a gutless Cnut of a father they have, just heard on news that after he crashed the car the attackers turned around and came back to the crash site, and the ****er was legging it over a hill!!
Did he leave the two kids in the car??

Could this somehow possibly have been...."staged".

Seen as the gardai are supposedly saying no gunshots were fired.

Nice house for a bankrupt man but the 13 year old car looked out of place. Maybe the house was out of his name?

They'd have Cowen back too given half a chance I bet. Gougers.
Offaly People love F.F. remember the road signs as you entered Offaly "Welcome to F.F. country".
During the time that Brian Cowen was minister for finance and then leader of F.F. Tullamore had the highest unemployment rate in Ireland still the People of Offaly continued to support F.F. remember Brian Cowen toured the country for month celebrating been the leader of F.F. and at the same time the country was in financial melt down. then in the last general election F.F. did better in Laois/Offaly than any other area. ypu can take the go*****s out of the bog but you cant take the bog out of the GO*****s.

Yes they do. and its hard to blame them as the Quinns created thousands of jobs up there. thats much, much more than Cowan did for Offaly.

I was surprised today to learn that this guy did accounts for someone in my familiy before, and they ended up getting a letter from the tax office saying they owed an amount of thousands. Anyway, as it turned out he appearantly made a balls of the accounts, luckily my relations kept all their records and nothing came of it in the end.

Never used him again though, and then a few years later they were amused to see him going to court in the paper.

So what are we saying then? That the whole thing was staged with the help of persons unknown?

Hah, imagine that, I think I've also got that t-shirt. I said I know him, didn't say I had very much time for him lately, but I still pass myself when we meet in shops etc - when it came to any of the "great deals" I just said "pass". And he was always nice to me, before, during and after the boom. Sure why wouldn't he. I'm a nice guy.
"Nuckingfacker, I'm thinking of getting a licence and becoming an auctioneer. What do you reckon?" was how it all began. Which is actually true. He was not too wealthy at the time but very ambitious.

Re the man who "harassed him", hypothetically, if you were stuck, and someone borrowed you €300k as a turn to a friend, maybe you'd "harass" them as well when they said "sorry, don't have it, go spin for it". Not, obviously that that happened, sure that's all just rumour and speculation and legally unfounded;). He did marry into a very strong family though.. that'd help.

That's the first thing I thought too, old Passat rather than the Range Rover or BMW. I would think the heat was really on from some heavy so he's hoping he'll get Garda protection now from this and the heat will back off.
I could be wrong of course...........;)

On TV3 news at 11, a local fella they interviewed said that the car was the fathers.

In 2010, bankruptcy documents put his debts at more than €73m.

Can someone explain to me why a fella who's 73 million in debt still lives in a ****ing mansion whilst everybody else is throwing the keys back? Because that doesn't make an awful lot of sense to me!

He was obviously bringing the cash in the boot to his bankruptcy agent to have it shared out between his creditors.

The money was 'just resting' in his boot....:pac:

Was the Joe Delaney that was accused of stalking him, the same "Cotton eye" Joe Delaney?

Seen as the gardai are supposedly saying no gunshots were fired.

I was thinking the same while listening to it on the Last Word yesterday.
At that time, there was no mention of any bullets or evidence of shots fired found at the scene.

Maybe they have found some bullets since, but it did sound a bit staged when I heard about it yesterday.

Hidden from the bank I'd say. Much like Bertie keeping money in a mattress.

Have a few relatives in the area, and havnt heard anything but pure poison when his name comes up in conversation, you could argue he brought this on himself but at the same time once you put inncoent kids in danger there are no excuses for this behaviour.

Yes, because it would have been fine to shoot at him if he was alone.
