Seems like UPS are way better than DHL packet post that HWVS used to use.

Still no sign of my headphones from amazon germany  Amazon state that if I do not recivie it tomorrow , I will be sent a new pair. DHL tracking still says that the electronic info has been sent to them, but its not been picked up?

This is one I like: http://www.scan.ie/products/cooler-master-cm-storm-quickfire-rapid-mechanical-cherry-black-mx-gaming-keyboard

Its got black keys though, they do stock a brown key version as well but its oos at the moment.

There is a bigger version which I like better as it comes with a wrist rest and has brown key switches instead:

Aye, looks not bad, but i got a very bad experience with CM products. The Sentinel CM mouse was biggest pile of crap i ever bought, was not cheap too!

Any other place to get that though? I am just not in the mood to deal with scan.co.uk. Sick of making new accounts just to order stuff. Plus they charge for delivery.

Amazon is free delivery. It wasn't scan I linked.

Has anyone had any dealings with Scan? My order with them seems to have gotten stuck in Birmingham for a week now.... is this normal with them?

They are usually very quick. In my experience 2 or 3 days is the norm.

I ordered from them last Friday and got my stuff on Wednesday morning.I'd say give them a ring and see whats going on.

Seems to be solid anyway. Everything is built in china. I doubt the parts used are any different. I can't find anything else with the keypad removed except maybe the thermaltake one that's around the same price.

It's a pity he doesn't mention which online retailer has them. It might be cheaper.

You would think they would be cheaper, reduced size, less switches but no.

The qpad looks the best value but it's just too big.

I'm back on HD4000 cause I'm in the middle of RMAing my HD7870 OC, many indie games are surprisingly playable. Open world games like Saints Row are completely unplayable with all settings on the lowest!

They'd be the two biggies. Try them first anyway.

Just for reference Shadow, the CM Storms are built in the same factory as Filco's keyboard, and by all accounts, the book can be judged by the cover there (i.e. they're rock solid)

Just overclocking my 3570K. I'm up to around 4.2 by just increasing the CPU multiplier setting the offset to +0.005v and the turbo boost to +0.004v. Running prime for 30 minutes I'm getting 58 degrees load. Is this the right way of doing it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,299 ✭✭✭✭BloodBath

Yep. I can't remember if you can disable that turbo or not but if you can then do. It's pointless. That's about the max you will get at stock voltage. Temps are still fine. You have a good 10-15c to play around with. 4.5 - 4.6 shouldn't be a problem.

I was reading a few guides and most said to just leave it on. Just out of curiosity, what settings do you, personally, run prime under?

I usually just set min FTT to 4096 and max the same. The small ones don't give the proc too much breathing room to cool down.
