Must say Amazon's customer service is awesome, got in contact with them late Tuesday night about my dead ssd and I woke up this morning to a brand new ssd.Fair play to them.
Amazon/Amazon sellers have always been fantastic for me.

Bought a second hand cooler master v8 the other day for €20ish only got around to installing it there. Using OCCT my max temp under 100% load is 55 degrees. Is that about average for a stock 3570k?

For how long are you stressing it for that temp? I'll put my 3570k back to stock clocks and compare it to my Hyper 212 temps if I get my comp back up and running soon. I think those temps are good, though for your cooler.

45 minutes was the duration of the test. It's probably worth noting that my pc is in my room with a reptile and the heating is on quite a lot. Ambient temps were prob around 35 degrees.

35 degrees ambient? You sure? That's roasting man.

Yup. Bearded dragon needs to be kept around 40 degrees pretty much all through the day. At night now it gets down to around 25. I don't use my comp much during the day for obvious reasons. After he goes to sleep and his heater turns off temps drop a lot. At the moment my CPU is around 25 degrees.

Ok so was messing around with my 7950 this morning and went from a graphics score of 8468 to 9700. Running at 1085/1250 at stock voltages. Don't think I'll bother going above stock voltages.

Why not? What model of card is it?

You probably wont't get much more out of the gpu but those ram clocks are very low. They should be good for at least 1500.

I just started with the core clock only just moving onto the memory clock. It's an ASUS Direct CUII V2. It's a much better score than my 670 used to get.

The RAM can get to 1400 plus on stock voltages (RAM is at 1.6v). What is the stock voltage for your 7950 to get 1085mhz?

    Stock voltage is 1087mV.

That's pretty good. It's a good card, you should be able to push 1200 on the core at about 1200mv which is still safe as houses. I got 1525 on the memory at stock voltage. It's a 7970 though but the voltages and memory are the same afaik.

Whats the best way of voltage tweaking? Every where I look people just contradict one another. Some say increase the voltage to around 1.25 volts and then up the core. Others say wait until the core clock causes the benchmark to crash and then go up in increments of 10mV.

Anyone want an Arma III Alpha lite code? Just pm me your steam email address. I've three, I think, to give away.

Either way to be honest. Going to 1250mv is probably the quickest. It's a safe voltage and that cooler is more than up to the task of keeping it cool at that.

Don't think my cooler is at all :) It is stable at 1100mhz at less than 1.1v though.

Think my SSD is on the way out..when I start Win 7 it pauses on the starting windows' logo. The logo is still animated, so I'm guessing its not the BIOS-which is up to date. Just did a restore from a backup on a different drive, and the SSD booted fine and seems OK so far. There are no other fault indicators on the m.board-LED wise, could it be anything else other than the SSD?

They constantly fluctuate based on supply and demand I imagine.

Ye I noticed that. Kinda the reason I went with OCUK. HWVS was cheaper but not by much. Plus you've to factor in RMA times, knock on wood. Plus OCUK give you a packet of Haribo ;)

Thought my SSD had died yesterday, nearly had a heart attack even though its imaged twice a week. Turned out to just be a microSD let in the reader

Anyone else getting stupid frame drops in Tomb Raider? Was playing earlier at a steady 60 fps but it just drops down to around 20 every so often.
    Settings are:
    Texture Quality - Ultra
    Texture Filter - Anisotropic 2x
    Anti Aliasing - off
    Shadows - Normal
    Shadow resolution - normal
    Level of Detail - Ultra
    Hair Quality - TressFX
    Reflections - Normal
    Depth of Field - Ultra
    SSAO - Ultra

    That's with an I5 3570K and an 7950 1175/1500.
Any ideas? Is it just really poorly optimized or?
