I'm trying out feedly as a replacement to reader and it's okay. How do people find flipboard on phones as a tool to use?

Might try feedly. Tried Flipboard and it was too flashy. I just want to read my news and see a few news items above and below what I'm reading. Doesn't Flipboard just show you one news item per screen.

Tried out Currents earlier and am liking it. Sort of syncs into Reader feeds.

Does Reader's demise also mean the death knell for apps such as gReader?

It's somewhere between that and a constant runner, but have you tried The Jump?

Just FYI, all those racers mentioned up there are rubbish, really, really bad, havent tried Return Zero yet.

Well I suppose that was a bit harsh, I was referring more to the lame Wipeout clones than that which is more of an infinite runner, if I hadnt been binging on infinite runners since I got my new phone Id be enjoying it.

As for playing Wipeout on a PSX emulator I would have on my Xperia play because it had the slide out hardware control pad but on a touchscreen only device I dont know, maybe for FF VII or any of the excellent PSX RPGs but not something requiring precision twitching like Wipeout...

Ah yeah, I'm well aware, I was one of the testers from the initial tests through to release candidate and shop testing.

The Jump isn't an infinite runner as such, it does have an end! It's just tricky to get to it!

Are there any Wipeout style futuristic racers for Android?

What do people think is the best racing game in general on Android anyway?

Flashout 3d looks the part. Haven't played it though.

Anyone having hassle with the paddy power app?
Last few days it's been crap. I thought it was just Cheltenham but even today it's brutal.

I picked a bad time to fall in love with Google Reader and the Greader app :(

I don't think the gReader app is dead mate. One of the user reviews mentioned a dev statement that they were working on a solution. The gReader Pro app is a little beauty IMO.

Ah it'll stay going after Reader is switched off? Thats good, still wont be linked to my Gmail though which is a pity.

Next Launcher 3D is now on sale (40% off).
Pushes it from the extortionate price bracket to the impulse buy price bracket.
Very happy with it so far.

Explain how it is worth it and I may be tempted, nothing I saw in the video warrants the price tag imo, that's the 40% off price to boot.

do you think it's worth €7.35?

If a game was €7.35 you'd ask what's so good about it to make it worth that

He has a point, i wouldn't buy it for €1.35 or install it for free even, looks tacky as fúck

I was just looking to know what sets it apart from the normal launchers available, to do that means someone would have to explain it lol.

All I got from the video was that you could move icons about and horizontal and vertical lines appeared. Hardly worth the price so I hoping someone would explain the features that go with the price.

    It's awesome.

If your 5. I don't see the need for all those neon colours and animations. It doesn't really add that much functionality to make it worth the discounted price. Normal stock launcher more than suffice. Likes of apex and Nova launchers have lots of functionality

Yikes, sorry I mentioned it now. :)

The level of polish is what jumps out at me. The interface is very slick. I've been using Nova Prime for the last 6 months or so. It's nice to try something new.

Download it if you want to, don't download if you don't want to. Nobody is twisting your arm.

I just bought it there on my S3 and my first impressions are it's good but it's slow to open, often loading for 5 seconds after I unlock the phone, and also is slow to open apps. Nice and very customizable but overall I'm gonna go back to nova launcher I think.

Yeah why are people getting so upset? It was just a suggestion. I'd be afraid to post a recommendation seeing that reaction! :)

Seems fair enough to ask someone to explain a recommendation when it costs a bit, no?

The over reaction came from a poster who for some unknown reason had an issue with the word explain.

First load (and loading after boot) can take a few seconds. Once loaded, it's fine. Give it a few hours before jumping back to your previous launcher.
