New update to Action Launcher added a feature called Shutters for devices with JB. It's like quick launching the apps widget directly from its icon. Really handy for quick checks

Street Fighter 4 from Capcom is on general release since January. It was exclusive to LG phones before that. It's still only on the Japanese Market so you have to use Market enabler to get it, or else you can find the apk somewhere else... The data part of the game will download regardless.
It's the first proper fighting game I've played on Android. No internet multiplayer which is a shame but it's still a great game to pick up for a few minutes and the controls work great, even if they are a little simplistic.

Can anybody recommend me apps to show the battery percentage and network on the top toolbar?

I use an app called Battery Bot (used to be something else but renamed recently) to show the battery % left. No idea what you mean by network, surely you know what network you are with already?

Maybe by network he means signal strength of wifi etc?

I'm on Cyanogenmod so it is probably different but settings and system you might be able to modify your status bar.

Also TASKER is reduced by 69% to €1.99

I'm currently on a Baidu Rom (Chinese) on my Ascend G 300 and it shows my network just under the notifications bar. I can change to a number in Settings/Display/ Battery Icon Style..

There's a Spotify mod available that will transmit album data via Bluetooth here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2081475&page=8

Doesn't appear to work for me though, probably an android version issue, gingerbread, as I think avrcp version 1.3 is required.

I saw that Tasker was on sale alright but f*** me, I haven't a bulls clue how to use it. I see a noobs guide on XDA but it still looks very very difficult to use. Or maybe I'm just very stupid!!!

Power Toggles does it as part of its 'notification widget' yoke. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc
Really cool and handy general toggling widget dealy too. Can have it on your homepage for toggling pretty much all (or whichever you select) your basic phone options, sound profile, data, wifi, rotation thing, brightness etc etc etc.

Doubt there is a need for any more VOIP or Messenger providers.

Pretty happy with Skype and Viber

Skype is giving me problems. Yahoo messenger users are being directed to Skype as messenger is closed.

Hopefully a few more VOIP options will appear.

It's a fantastic app. Just had to 'fork out' 69p for a years subscription. My free first year of using it is over and then you gotta pay.

As I discovered thanks to being informed by a few boardsies, not everyone does. Mine got renewed for free and so has many others :pac:
Although Ive no problem paying. Great service

I'm not sure, but I think early adopters get Whatsapp free... I've had it about 4 years and have always been given my subscription for free... in fact I recently got a message to say I had been subscribed for another year.

I think I may have originally paid for it on ios, it renewed recently and didn't cost me a cent. Best app by far - even my dad uses it and he's in his 60s.

When searching on the market for this, it is important to search for sky + using the '+' symbo as opposed to the word plus.

    (i find that anyway)

That is down to a bad description for the app. It must not have plus in the description which is odd.

You'd think they'd have thought of that. Was the first thing I though of as it is essentially the app equivalent to SEO.

If nobody can find it then you might as well not have developed it :)

Not sure tbh, but I always managed to find it. Search for Sky and the 2nd listing is sky +...

Skype is rubbish in comparison to Viber, eats battery like there's no tomorrow.

Depends on what phone, I cant call my gf using Viber cause the sound quality is rubbish and breaks all the time, while the opposite on Skype.

People with different phones sound fine though. So its just a matter of finding the best one to suit you.
