Quick one about Parcel motel and ebay, do i have to change my address in ebay before i buy something or can i change address after purchase?

I signed up but yet to purchase:o I changed mine before because some sellers block buyers from outside the UK. You may only find this out when you go to place a bid at the close of the auction. Same with bargin bin listings, they will be long gone before you have time to change your address. That's my two cents in anyway.

As much as people slate Halo it was a landmark game that set Microsoft on the map. I enjoyed it back in the day and played it a fair bit.

It's far from a bad game, in fact quite enjoyable until the Flood appear and you have to retrace your steps but the way some people go on about how it totally redefined the FPS genre is what gets on my goat.

It certainly shaped the gaming landscape though, I well believe the Xbox would have been a complete flop if it wasn't for this game. It's not like Fusion Frenzy would have sold it.

I thought Minesweeper was the game that put Microsoft on the map?
    Or was it Flight Sim?

If it means I don't have to buy a PS3 I can live with that. As much as I like it the Wii never had the grunt. The build quality may be dirt given the lifespan of the early models but the PS3 was no different, the only game I would have liked to play but didn't was Journey.

Yeah, whenever I found myself playing Mario 64, I often had this vague longing for fishing mini-games, fetch-quests, and thought the overworld to be a bit too streamlined. I mean, I never once said 'where the f**k do I go now?' whilst traversing Peach's castle.

Then there's the prospect of there being too much Mario; t'was ridiculous. I'd have much rather have had him share screen time with a handful of characters
you didn't buy the game for, nor give a s**t about.

    Labour a point? Me?

When you change your primary address on eBay to the parcel motel address it'll let you bid when it's UK only bidders.
Also if they don't mention they'll only ship to the UK in the listing, it's worth asking if they do post to Rep Ireland and use the PM address to bid but get it posted to your home address (which I've done a few times).

Sonic Adventure is in no way as good a game as Mario 64.
Now, you can argue different but you'd be wrong.
You can personally prefer Sonic Adventure to Mario 64, that's fine.
But, looking at all the review and opinion from close to 20 years, Mario 64 is the superior game, end of.

It's like someone saying Adrian Mole books are better than the Lord of the Rings, now you may really like Adrian Mole, why not, but it is not is anyway comparable to Tolkiens trilogy, and the overwhelming objective opinion of hundreds of reviews by experts and book lovers is that, while Adrian Mole may have it's place, The Lord of the Rings is clearly the better book.

That's why I recommended him to change before. If you can convince the seller to post at a reasonable rate it's even better but if you're buying something bulky I would say parcel motel is the better option.

on the website - http://www.anpost.ie/AnPost/MainContent/Personal+Customers/Sending+Mail/Security/Registered+Post+International.htm, , there's a new thing in now that they'll ask you to declare the price first, whenever you post anything, if you don't say it's standard and if you give a price then it'd registered.
My PO lady told me, some items can't be sent by registered post, things with batteries afaik can't be posted but there's a list on the website.
She read out a few to me from a list "you can't post bees!? WHO POSTS BEES!?"

Nothing wrong with rooting for the underdog, but be careful it doesn't blind you from good stuff out there.
Certainly I found Red Dead Redemption to be slow at the outset, but within a few hours it was one of the most enjoyable games of the current gen, easily eclipsing GTAIV.
As a fan of westerns it was wonderful, so I will confess to not knowing the reaction of someone not, perhaps, as tuned to the genre.
As for Portal 2, not sure there, that was another game I loved from this gen, and the constant stream of humour was fantastic, plus it built on the fiction of both the previous game and the Half Life titles, for sure whenever HL3 gets here there will be more cross pollination between Aperture and the losers at Black Mesa.

Red Dead Redemption is brilliant, one of the best games of this gen by far.

Red Dead is one of the few recent gen games that ive devoted actual gameplay toO. Close to 20 hours id say.
If it wasnt for the western angle I would of found it tedious and even the western story of it was pretty generic.

somebody remind me to do my homework before buying off xbla
bought part 1 of the Capcom Arcade Cabinet for 400 points, not realising that all 5 parts can be bought next month for half the price of the packs seperately

This is just bizarre, but I love it!

Mike McMahon was a 2000AD artist through the golden era of the comic and drew lots of Judge Dredd and ABC Warriors. He then went on (strangely enough) to be the longest running artist in Sonic the Comic. Talk about a complete shift.

Anyway, one of the guys over on the 2000AD forums got him to do a ABC Warriors Deadlock/Sonic crossover commission pic.

    Extremely strange, but awesome :D

Just started Red Dead myself the other night. Only got an hour or two into it so far though (got distracted then, because I bought a PS3 and was test driving that since), but I think it seems pretty good. I'm loving the main character, John Marston, and I've kinda always enjoyed that cowboy lingo that populates the game's dialogue. It seems miles better that Red Dead Revolver.

How do I stop consoles from yellowing? I've a SNES that looks lovely at the minute but I fear it'll go the way of a PS1 I bought the other day which is basically yellow! I've heard about a UV resistant coating but how the hell does that work?
