It was 1.20 last year, and 1 euro in times past. :/

Whats the story with the Troy bus? I live in Curragh Birin and it seems fairly okay with the driver of the Brookfield Hall one for me to get on?

Eurobus going up to 1.50 tomorrow :( (1.30 at present)

Was only a matter of time,
Losing big money with the 50c gap between them and BE,
I think 1.50 is their limit though,
The fact that it's 30c cheaper should still be enough to coax custom from BE,
Despite its longer route and lesser frequency...

And the wait time at some stops

A much more casual bus service,
Hourly and it just kind of gets there when in gets there...

Bus Eireann isn't far off it to be fair,
I don't know how they plan the times for their routes,
Baffles me how they can write something as precise as 13:49,
When realistically is just comes when it comes...
Just round it off and follow every time with "ish"
    I admire honesty...

    Another downside of the Eurobus

In fairness, that also happened on Bus Eireann one time!

I prefer to get the eurobus mostly because it's cheaper. Handily enough, they have another service going from town to UL via brookfield and cappavilla and vice versa. It passes by the stables going to town at half past and doesnt go up to Annacotty etc like the other one does so it's fairly quick.

    :confused::confused:

He got on at childers road.. didnt look too rough...

Guards passed against us outside ul and spotted him on the bus, swung around and stopped the bus and jumped on...
Exact same thing would of happened if it was the bus eireann bus

Eh... does the "Not really.", followed by a trollface and Anchorman clip not give it away? :pac:

Thought that was just referring to the last announcement. Given the poor show of the last few major events planned, I can't tell the difference!

Oh I wouldn't be surprised if the Coronas played tbh. I swear, the SU must have their manager on speed dial or something. :pac:

This, and the drivers are nicer. If you just miss the bus if you stick out the arm they'll pull over and let you jump on which I think is majorly sound.

Is there usually entertainment as in well-known bands and music?

Depends what you consider "well known". If you mean on the scale of the Trinity Ball, then not that I can remember, and I would highly doubt it'll be that way this year given the financials.

But there were some class bands playing last year like Storyfold and a few others whose names escape me right now.

Would be nice to get some decent Irish bands in as opposed to the usual Coronas or Bressie nonsense. Although that probably wouldn't raise as much money.

Raging I didn't get to see them at UL40, went to their 02 gig and it was amazing, thought they were much better live:D I suppose they do play a lot of gigs so people may get sick of them. But to be honest in this day and age you have to play gigs to survive as a band.

I've nothing against the Coronas. I like some of their music. But Christ, they've played at least 4 times in the 2.5 years I've been here. :P I mean seriously, there are sooo many other bands out there.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the UL bands, im in a band in Kildare so I joined music society here. But they haven't had any events of the Wolves site. Bit of a waster of the €3 to join so far.

    What makes you think that?

I haven't seen any posting of events yet or even met society, just on c&s open day...we haven't had any events I was informed of, so my €3 is a bit of a waste so far. I hope it will change soon, can imagine they'd want to meet before RAG week

Are you signed up to the emails? We've been publicising our things through that.

No don't think so...how do I? I only added the Facebook page there?

I just spotted your problem, when you signed up for the wolves site you said you didn't want emails in your preferences. This excluded your email from the list we use to send out emails. I'll add you on to it now if you want?
