I ordered last Wednesday just after they went back on sale. Received 'shipped' notification yesterday.
You need to add the Parcel Motel address as an address in your Play Store account.
Next you need to change the address on your credit card that you have linked to your Play account (I have an AIB Visa Click card - you can change the address yourself on Internet Banking with a code card) to the Parcel Motel address.
That's it, your're set to order. And obviously you need a Parcel Motel account too. First two deliveries are free. Hope this helps!

billing address: my home in dublin with uk postal code
delivered to parcel motel

Has anyone got a "shipped" notification after ordering with a newly-created Google Account?

I assumed that if you've previously bought android apps with cards registered in the Republic, then they wouldn't accept device orders on the same account, even if you used a new card with a UK address. So I set up a whole new Google account for the order.

Seems I was wrong - others have had orders processed using long-standing Google accounts, while my order hasn't progressed beyond the initial email.

Has *anyone* had an order processed with a new Google account, with no prior history?

(I'm thinking of starting again, using the same UK address (parcel motel, of course) with my old Google account.)

I see the "ships soon" has come down to 1-2 weeks again from 2-3 weeks so either orders have slowed or they have ramped up production again...

Created a new UK gmail for it, and used Irish Visa debit.

Just got an email telling me the order I placed last night has shipped. Crossing fingers here, but does the below mean I am going to get it? Can it still be cancelled after this point?

KevIRL - I think it means what it says - the phone has been shipped, so there's no way they can cancel it now. Congratulations!

But I'm amazed your order got processed so quickly! Would you be willing to let us know a bit about the the method you used, since it seems to have worked so well? In particular:

Did you use an existing google account on which you had previously bought android apps, or did you set up a new account just to order the phone?
Was the card a credit card or debit card?
Did you use Parcel Motel's Antrim address for the delivery address?
What about the billing address - an Irish one or a UK one?
Did the billing address you gave match the one actually registered with your bank?
Did you register a phone number for the google account?

I'd really appreciate it if you can answer any or all of those..... :-) No problem, if you don't want to.

Did you use an existing google account on which you had previously bought android apps, or did you set up a new account just to order the phone? Used my existing google play account which had been used previously to buy apps for my S1
Was the card a credit card or debit card? A credit card, it was the one I had on the play account previously, the option to use it was greyed out when I went to order the N4 but I just added it again
Did you use Parcel Motel's Antrim address for the delivery address? Yep, PM address. Have used them before with no issues
What about the billing address - an Irish one or a UK one? I updated it to the PM address also
Did the billing address you gave match the one actually registered with your bank? I called the bank first thing this morning and added the PM address to my registered CC address
Did you register a phone number for the google account? Yep, my own number:o

Really hope it is shipped and its just the waiting game now, but not taking anything for granted.

I think it's just random at this point.
I did the same as iggy with my old account
Parcel motel shipping address.
Billing address my home address plus PM postcode.
New card.

Mine though was cancelled.
I'm not going to bother trying again.

I kind of worried i messed up with my order. The device is shown as shipped and in dublin and google said they charged my card but the transaction still hasnt shown on my account and its been over 24 hours

probably cause I added the parcel motel address to my visa card in google wallet and used that. Maybe the bank rejected the charge?

Think I'll try a second order, this time using my existing Google account. Not sure which card I'll use - the old one on that account has been used lots of times, but has my real (Dublin) address, while the one with the UK address has never been used. Hmm.... think I actually have another google account, come to think of it. Might try that one with the new card - don't want to get my main account locked.

Anyway, thanks again for all the info. I'll obviously post back here if I make any progress.

After your comment i just checked my account and it seems that i am actually in the same boat. received shipment e-mail early Monday morning. Money is still in my account, well i cannot touch it buts its there. surely if the bank rejected it though they would not have sent it.. maybe they are waiting for confirmation of delivery? anyone else know an answer to this

Curiouser and curiouser...

The transaction on my debit card appears to have been cancelled - at least, there's no sign of it any longer on Ulster Bank's online banking app. Also, the order has still not progressed beyond the initial state in Google Wallet, which it got to within moments of my placing the order:

So I'm thinking that order is probably going to be cancelled, and I decided to place a second order.

This time, I used the very same card, but with an old Google Account that I used for buying android apps up to about a year ago. (The previous order was placed on a new google account with no history.) I used the PM address for both billing and shipping. Again, that's the same as the previous order.

This new order got further in the first minute than the previous order did in 6 days:

Your order has been sent to Google Commerce Ltd.
Google Commerce Ltd is responsible for charging and shipping your order. Have questions? Contact Google Commerce Ltd.

Feb 6 Google Commerce Ltd received your order.

So, there seems to be a difference in how far these two orders got in the initial processing. It seems likely that the difference is due to one or more of the following:

1) The first order was on a new google account with no purchase history, the second on an old account with lots of previous purchases (albeit on a different card)

2) The google account for the first order had no phone number set on it - the old one for the second order has my real (Irish) mobile number.

3) Maybe things have changed in the way orders are processed between January 31 and now - perhaps due to more stock coming available.

4) It could just be random.

In any case, it's probably no big deal - I expect both orders will be cancelled in the fullness of time. I just find the seeming randomness of it all strangely fascinating..... :-)

yeh the money is there but its not available to spend( I shoulda been clearer) oh well i doubt they would of shipped if there was a problem.

I used my regular Gmail that I have had for years.
In Google wallet I changed the card details of the card I have been using in my account for a while now ( not sure how long, but I have bought apps in the play store using this card ). Card is a PTSB Visa Debit.
I changed my billing information on this card to my full Parcel Motel address ( I actually forgot to put my name here, just PMID and address - I fully expected this to be rejected, don't know why the bank didn't even verify my name

).
When asked for my phone number I gave my Irish number.

I put my shipping information as my PM address ( again forgot to put my name here, it could slow down your delivery with PM if you leave it out ).

Placed order on Friday morning. Immediately the transaction showed up in my pending transactions online. Rang the bank who said at this point payment was unlikely to be rejected.

Received shipping email Monday morning. Tracking information is useless - still says my package is in Dublin.

Got text from PM last night ( Tuesday ) saying shipment was ready for collection.

Collected this morning.

If it worked that'd be handy. I think FedEx or DHL has something like that built in to their system.
