QPR have agreed fee with Marseille and been given formal permission to talk terms. #NUFC extremely unlikely to match sums offered in London.

    Manchester United:

    In:
Marouane Fellaini (before Chelsea buy him and derail his career ala Scott Parker, SWP, Sidwell etc...)

    Out:
    Nick Powel (loan)

Fellaini is a better player then Parker and Sidwell were when they came to Chelsea and the amount of players that were ahead of them meant neither were really going to make it with us.

Fellaini would walk into our midfield right now and would be a nailed on starter for the foreseeable future.

Fascinated to see how gets on in the EPL, it should suit his abilities better.

1 good season and half a really good season. Same as Parker for Charlton before Chelsea bought him. Everyone was tupping him to become the next big thing for England. I would say they were at the same level of hype. Not saying that Fellani isn't better but we'll see if/when he moves to a bigger club if he will thrive. As for Chelsea, their midfield was a lot better back then too - United's isn't as good, imo.

Are u serious? Fellaini has been highly rated since he was with Liege, he won the league at like 18 or something as a permanent starter. Parker just maxed his ability, Fellaini was always destined to be a top player.

Michael Johnson available for a free.
I would imagine many top clubs will be knocking down the door of the 'future england captain'.

He wouldn't get a game for the Dog and Duck in the shape he is currently in.

Why weren't the big clubs looking at him then? He was a class act but hardly one that was definitely going on to big things. Just look at the recent news of M Johnson at city for a perfect example of a player not reaching his potential. Fellani, up until the end of last season was not being touted for any of the big clubs. Same happened with Parker. After 1 and a half seasons of playing well for Charlton and he was snapped up by Chelsea because he was the sole reason that Charlton were pushing for that 4th spot so early on in the season. He was touted as the next big star of english football (similar to MJ). Fellani over the last 2 seasons has shown is class but if he moves to a club like chelsea of Man City he will find playing time very hard to come by and will probably go the way of Parker, warming the bench for the best part of his career.

I don't see what the big difference between him and Fellani is tbh in terms of how they were rated at the same stage in their career. (I'm not talking about playing style, 1930s haircut v 1970s harcut etc).

Had to laugh at the irony your username and post subject created.

Dont know why you think Feliani wouldn't be a starter at Chelsea, you cant compare todays Chelsea team with the one Parker etc had to contend with.I think Feliani is much better than Sidwell,Parker etc
Especially when Mikel will be off to the ACN,Romeu injured,Frank (the legend) making bit part appearances
Hazzard, Mata, Oscar? I am not saying he is identical in ability to Parker or Sidwell or SWP. I'm just saying he's undoubtedly first team starter at Everton and imo he'd have no problem at all walking into the Man United starting 11. Far easier than he would, say, at Chelsea or Man City. The Parker Sidwell comparision was just to remind you what a club like Chelsea do with highly rated young players that are setting the PL alight for a short period of time. They can ruin their promising careers. Perhaps I should have thrown in Rodwell there aswell...

Harry Redknapp confirms in a press conference that QPR are set to sign both Remy and M'Vila.

Parker left Charlton, where he was excelling to sit on the bench and make 15 appearances for Chelsea before moving on. IMO if he had stayed at Charlton he would have more than likely earned a few England call ups rather than waste his 23rd year sitting on the bench, while most of the media forgot about him. He became a small fish in a big pond. He then had to leave to get first team opportunities and went to Newcastle were injury and illness restricted him from playing to the best of his abilities.

My point is that players moving to big clubs with plenty of other players in their position, especially at a young age - 23 seems to be particularly popular for players to make these decisions - disjoints their career. It knocks a promising career off it's path and stunts it's growth. These are just 2 or 3 examples I've given. Rodwell is another - I thought it was a crazy desicion to move to Man City at that stage of his career as he's bound to get more experience from playing week in week out and being an important part of the team. That's not going to happen at Man City.

Anyway, getting 3 times your salary for sitting on a bench isn't that bad at the end of the day.

I'd love to say quality signings but I can't help but think they are just going for the money...

Seen a lot mentioned about them but I've seen very little of either of them.

Are they? Both aren't exactly mentally prepared for a battle.

also where are all these big clubs in for M'Vila? We heard for last 2 years all about M'vila, then when he's available, no interest from any of the top teams. If football was based on stats/football manager, qpr would and could be pushing for champions league spot with their team they have.

Comes with an attitude problem apparently.

With those type of players coming into QPR is there any word on players leaving? Surely they will end up with a similar situation to City if they keep buying players on inflated wages and will be unable to move them on without them costing money to move.

Exactly an immense talent but knack for causing trouble off the pitch has scared a lot of teams of taking a risk on him, hes kinda France's Joey Barton just not quite as annoying or a twitter account.

Really? A strong midfield and Goalkeeper masks their deficiencies in attack and defense, where they only have 1 or 2 decent players.
