Anyone notice Stekelenburg is being linked with Fulham???

I think he would be a fine Keeper for Utd to be honest

Looks like it M'Vila might be off to Rubin Kazan. The money in Russia really seems to be talking these days.

More his attitude has cost him a move to a big club in Europe already, he's desperate to get out of Rennes at this stage, only Rubin stepped up and stepped up more than any other club was going to when it comes to the fee paid and his wages are a bonus.

He'll be out of there in a year, maybe two. Can't see him hacking it out there tbf. Hopefully it'll be the wake up his career needs as he's too talented to be wasted out there.

Only that Schalke don't have a Bastos in their team. Do you mean Lewis Holtby?

Given he plays for Lyon it seems I got the wrong end of the stick......

Do apologise sorry everyone turns out I'm only as accurate as all those ITKs :-p

Can't see Bastos going to Spurs anyway, he's quite similar to Bale in a number of ways. Plays as either left-back or left-wing, though I don't think he'd do great at left-back in England.

I have heard some of the Holtby rumours alright.

Please dont let Jove leave Serie A, would be singing of the transfer window if Arsenal snap him up.

Interesting and articulate statement from Odemwingie regarding his transfer request.

He points out the hypocrisy of West Brom called him a key player while and the same time playing him out-of-position this season.

Haven't seen the statement, but it can often make sense to play a key player out of position. Take rooney in midfield for utd as an example. While he's better at cf, utd already have decent cf's, hence while he's in midfield, the strike force may be slightly weaker, but the midfield stronger hence overall it could be said that relatively, the side is stronger with him in midfield

I'm not getting into a Rooney discussion here, but the point does stand that the above can often benefit the team

It would seem apparent that there's only one reason odemwingie wants out, and yet again it's a properly run football club that are loosing out to a rich mans toy

Odemwingie's 31. This could be his last chance of a payday.

So then everyone can agree the team isn't good enough - at the back, in the middle, down the flanks and at the front. Yet again (why does this keep happening? :p)!

Father Christmas doesn't do transfer windows but if he did which players would you like to see him shove down the chimney, and which would you hope he takes back from previous years deliveries?

Name your club and what you reckon the budget might be.

Liverpool budget up to 15-20 million. Strikers. Two of them, a strong midfielder would be nice as well. Dunno how much I'd like them but right now Sturridge seems to be most likely but a few others names are floating about such as Tom Ince (which again looks very possible), Demba Ba, Burak Yilmaz, Bafetimbi Gomis and of course Darren Bent (!) In the middle Arda Turan would be a great addition but might be a more likely summer target.

Out Joe Cole and Stuart Downing to QPR/West Ham/Boro, talk of Reina to Arsenal again but hard to see that.

If Liverpool have a budget of £20m I'll be astounded.

Huntalaar would be the perfect signing imo, although I realise that it most likely won't happen for a number of reasons

Most likely to happen - a loan signing or two and maybe a £10m outlay.

Be astounded! Sturridge + Coutinho = 20 million and still Ince to come*

    *watch this space

Odemwingie having a bit of a rant/break down on twitter. Confirming that he wants to leave for the money.
Happiness is not in money, but in the amount.

Saying WBA do not treat him with respect as they will only open contract discussions in the summer. It is crazy especially when he is WBA highest paid player, and his form has not really warranted a pay rise. I do not see why QPR would want a player like him, he is only there for the money not there to fight. QPR need fighters not lazy players only there to pick up a wage.
