akamossy, so sorry about your dog. I can only imagine how horrible you feel. :(

For some reason today Harley-baby decided to take a run at the cat, there was no malice in it, but he scared him. While I shouted "LEAVE IT" the cat swiped at his nose. Poor baby dropped to the floor on his side as if he'd been beaten. I would never raise a hand to him, ever ('cept playing of course). He's never been abused, or hit. He looked so scared and small. The cat made his nose bleed and I think he thought it was me because I had shouted. FFS, I feel so guilty.

Love those photos bluewolf, especially the shots of yosemite.

Tough day at work today, had to give a presentation in the afternoon but I think it went well. Was paying for petrol earlier and the girl serving me asked if I wanted a malteaster bunny as they were on special offer. Easter  Sure Christmas is only just over!

I know it's very, very bad, and I don't want to see easter eggs in the shops yet any more than the next person...but my friend got me a 12 pack of creme eggs for my birthday and I've never seen something more glorious. 12. In a box. All for me. :pac:

I find doing it with the rolling pin hard on my leg, really must invest in a proper foam roller. 1.93 miles tonight - very happy with myself! This RunKeeper app is very addictive - logged into my activities, and it keeps asking to log an activity for today, thats all the motivation I need atm. Weighed myself last night, and again tonight - fe*king thing must be broken, or else I can't have done it properly last night, but I was sure I did, can't have lost 6kg in one day!
Just looked up those foam rollers thing, my substitute is basically like a 3 foot long hard foam roller from what I could see :) I use it for some of my exercises and the muscle rolling thing as well.

6kg sounds a lot in one day alright!

Poor Harley will forever now live in severe terror of the cat.
I'd a wolfhound (gentlest animal ever) who from a young age was seen as the cats as a giant climbing/grooming/sleeping contraption.

Every night when they socialised together (supervised) one of the cats used sit on the poor animals head, hold up his ears in his paws and proceed to groom his face, neck and ears. Until he succumbed he got a few smacks from the cat.

    *hugs for you*

I lost my dog about a month ago and I still miss him.

Well I went back to Weight Watchers. I'm 13 stone now. Wasn't expecting that at all. I'm glad I went back though, I'm determined to reach my target this time.

    Hello errybody!

Sorry to hear about your dog akamossy, hugs x

Best of luck with the counselling Pixie. Like a few here, I bawled crying during and after my first counselling session (and quite a few after). But you will feel better over time and it will help you cope. I stopped going after about six sessions because of time constraints, but a few months on I don't feel like I need it for the time being. It works wonders; best of luck with it :) xx

I'm tempted to eat the boyfriend's last Koka noodle when he's at work. He may get mad but it'll be sooo worth it :D

    Leave the Koka alone.
Have you any idea what foulness you are imbibing? And the calories? You'd eat half a chocolate cake for one sachet of those!

Pixie, good luck with the counselling
PPrints, good luck with the diet :)

I've to go for more tests

akamossy, sorry about your dog :(

Pixie-Fairy, good luck with the counselling session, I too cried and not just my first session but from the conveniently placed box of tissues in the room, I realised my reaction wasn't at all out of the ordinary :)

    I've a doctor's appointment this week regarding
a pesky lump I found in my breast
. I'm not too worried but I just want to know for sure.

Hope your appointment goes well Ilyana. :)

So happy the lurcher puppy I was posting about is doing very well. He has has his pain meds discontinued which is great and they're giving him oral antibiotics still. He might be discharged into the care of the rescue group before the weekend! :D

Did you see the news story about a woman who left €500,000 to the Limerick Royal Society of Protection Against Cruelty to Animals but it seems that branch doesn't exist anymore so it's probably gonna be split between the Limerick Animal Welfare and the LSPCA?
    Heart warming if it happens!

€500,000! Wow! Just Googling the story now.

Wish some of that was coming to Laois, it's badly needed.

It'll cover the veterinary bills for the year. Huge pressure off them for a while!

Aww that's a lovely book, and if you haven't seen the movie, one of the few movies that is not too unfaithful to the book :)

Oooh good luck with that IIyana, if needs be you can get fast tracked, but I'm sure it's just a pesky critter there to annoy you!

He was on the front page of the indo two days in a row (well on the website) So delighted for him and the rescue group :D

It used happen (rarely) that people would wrongly will money to the RSPCA instead of the ISPCA and it would shoot over to the UK!

That's a cool story though. Jaypers most rescue groups would think all their Christmases had come at once!

I'm enjoying it. I'm only about 2 chapters in. Think I'll head up to bed soon, stick in the headphones and read some more. :)

He seems like a lovely dog, he's full of kisses for the vet nurse anyway :D

The Laois SPCA got a €1,000 donation recently and they were delighted with it, I can't even imagine what they'd do with 500,000.

Well it'll be €250,000 each but it's still more than they could ever dream of.

Having been involved in rescue I can only imagine how happy staff and volunteers would feel knowing the vet bill was in the clear.

I know rescue affiliated vets are very good, but when I was involved and knew there was a bit of a bill, you did worry about what would happen if some nasty case came in and you'd to rely on the vets goodwill.

Yes, I dont like them tbh. They do the job, but they are extremely tight and uncomfortable, and I find that they put too much pressure on my "lady parts" :p
