Love those photos bluewolf, especially the shots of yosemite.

Tough day at work today, had to give a presentation in the afternoon but I think it went well. Was paying for petrol earlier and the girl serving me asked if I wanted a malteaster bunny as they were on special offer. Easter  Sure Christmas is only just over!

    Akamossy you poor thing. :(

Aah bluewolf I'm so jealous of your yosemite pics. I really want to go back and camp there for a week, a day isn't enough

Yeah we weren't prepared for the ice and didn't have proper gear so were sliding all over the place trying to walk. Most of the roads were closed too
Would love to go back properly

Get over your first session first. And it's totally normal to bawl cry once you leave your first few. Make sure you remember that. If you don't then that's cool too. I cried all the way home from my first session.

So tempting. I wanted all the the plushies.
Then I saw a Godiva choc-brand teddy bear who had a lil red beret and awesome jumper. And I saw paddington bear too. :(

I think I cried after almost every session I had before. it's just talking in so much depth about personal things, stuff I wouldn't have talked to anyone about. it's bound to be hard going.

see how you feel about it yourself first pixie, before you go talking to your friends, imo

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,772 ✭✭✭Ella

Pixie the only reason why I say talk to them after is because they might start texting you and stuff to see how you got on and you might just need some quiet time after it. But it's totally up to you. You know you and your friends better than us x

Ah yeah i know what ye are saying. I wasn't going to mention going to see one until after the first session but i might wait it out because i wont know how ill feel afterwards, i might want to be around people, i might not. I wont know til tomorrow!

    Thanks ladies! :) x

Pixie, if you're anything like me you won't feel like talking to anyone after. I was so sick of talking after my sessions that I'd just need an evening to think through what we'd gone through.

I also cried in every session apart from the last one.

Can you get me one, please and thanks :) Went running again this evening, and I'm wrecked, legs were in bits before I went.

Don't be surprised if you feel very tired as well. It can be quite draining to talk (and cry) about emotional stuff in depth.

Good luck with it, I hope it helps :)

There's a 2 for 1 deal on a little pine number if you fancy it? :p

I ran out of my first councelling session almost 10 years ago, and never returned. I think it's a very brave thing to do, to recognise that you need to talk to somebody and then follow through on it. Best of luck tomorrow Pixie.

    You got a rolling pin?

I use a circular holder for my jigsaws, it's like a giant rolling pin :)

I picked James up from crèche today. I can't even describe how good it is to see his happy little face running to give me a hug and tell me he missed me. I hugged him so much this evening that he actually told me to leave him alone. :o

I FOUND MY PASSPORT!!! IT'S STILL VALID FOR ANOTHER FIVE YEARS!!!*flails wildly*
Don't have to fork out of a new one. What a load off my mind. I consider this a very good omen. :)
Going for a consultation with the artists in Wildcat in Stephen's Green. Kinda feel like a headless chicken running around in search of a good, affordable artist but as they say over in the Tattoo Forum, "Good work a'int cheap and cheap work a'int good."
Gonna start saving once I clear my overdraft and hopefully get my tat before the year's out.

Also, funny thing happened when I popped onto Twitter to take a morbid-curious look at the cut4Bieber hashtags... my MP3 player randomly shuffled onto "Last Resort" by Papa Roach. My PC is a troll.

I find doing it with the rolling pin hard on my leg, really must invest in a proper foam roller. 1.93 miles tonight - very happy with myself! This RunKeeper app is very addictive - logged into my activities, and it keeps asking to log an activity for today, thats all the motivation I need atm. Weighed myself last night, and again tonight - fe*king thing must be broken, or else I can't have done it properly last night, but I was sure I did, can't have lost 6kg in one day!
