I like, or possibly hate, how some enterprising delis starting calling then Breakfast Baguettes. This then was justification for charging a extra Euro.

    No, they're awful, stop it

I hate that most won't take the 2 seconds to cut the fat off the rashers.

Some plonkers think they were a symbol out of the Celtic Tiger years... a fcuking sausage and rasher on a roll like!

That and decking... they'd never have existed if everyone wasn't mad for property!

    Two eggs.

    Two sausage.

    Two rasher.

    Two bacon.

    Etc.

Theyre great after a long cycle when you can hardly walk with the hunger.
    Kinda counter-productive though! :p

When I was abroad I missed them. I remember being on the way to work one morning after an all mighty amount the night before, and I honestly would have paid 500 euro for a breakfast roll. Closest I got was a bacon and egg mcmuffin, which is like saying you wanted to sleep with Sharon Ni Bheolain but she wasn't around so you had a crack at Twink instead.

I'm having one tomorrow though :D

If I make it myself, sure.

Congealed & glutinous trotter in a bun from a Spar or Texaco, nope.

The extra euro is for the shipping it cost to get it delivered from France that very morning.

The strangest breakfast roll I ever had was: Sausages, Rashers, Hash Browns, Runny Eggs, Beans!! You needed a knife and fork, but by christ it was gorgeous.

I dont really get how decking can be a symbol of the celtic tiger, I mean its not exactly hard or expensive to put in, and maintenance of it costs f^%k all.

Or put the word 'gourmet' in front of it and tag on an extra fiver to the price.

There are probably some loons left around that will pay extra, thinking they are getting something better.

You should stay away from the Deli Corvus. Make it a New Years Resolution of yours.

Had one on saturday, it was delicious. Like them with egg and hash browns, but no pudding. The are a 'uniquely irish' invention apparently. Another wonderful contribution to global cuisine!

I love a good hefty roll in the morning.
The wife likes one too, to fill her up - so I give her one.

(We get them in a garage down the road from us)
