Meh, that could be anything or anyone. I stand by my comment.

I'd be of the opinion that people that think Sonic CD is great where Mega CD owners trying to justify their purchase. It's not very good with level design of my first fan hack standards.

In other words the word of Enternow stands true.

I got it free with my Mega CD, so not trying to justify anything. It hasn't a patch on Sonic 2 though :)

That was kinda my problem with Sonic CD in general. You need to find a level enough ground to go back to the past and hope you don't hit into the future signs while doing it. Still, I just wish the other Mega Drive Sonic games had the benefit of being ported, rather than emulated, like CD was.

I would be curious to hear your expanded thoughts on this matter i.e. the reasonings behind this opinion. Otherwise we shall forever dub you 'the Armond White of the Games category' ;).

I enjoyed Sonic Adventure 1 and 2... but the quality levels are very hit and miss and they certainly haven't aged as well as something like Mario 64.

i just feel sonic adventure has more attitude and i just love the rush and feeling playing the games.

the opening stage level when the whale chases after you , crushing the bridge (as scripted it maybe ) i get such a thrill from it.

Also taken into account i am a sega guy and have somewhat a biased/Nostalgic heart for sonic as sonic 1 on the megadrive was the first game I ever played.

Never owned a nintendo64 and only remembered some bits i played but i remember thinking it was great but its just i prefer sonic adventure more.

Dont get me wrong mario 64 is perhaps one of if not the best platformer ever but i prefer playing sonic games more :D

I'd consider myself a huge Sonic fan...the original trilogy & knuckles were incredible games. Ok 3 not so much but I'd lump it in with the classics, as I would Sonic CD purely because its from the era when Sonic was good. So I don't say this lightly, almost everything after Knuckles/CD is garbage man, garbage I tells ya :(

sonic 2 is m favourite sonic 1 very close and 3 and sonic and knuckles i consider equal.

sonic game gear games i think are very good.

had a blast with sonic pinball aswell.

i liked sonic heroes , skipped unleashed, chaos ring and sonic the black knight

sonic colours i thought was very good and was on the right track.
and the most recent sonic generations i thought was fantastic , though has alot of flaws.

sonic cd level design felt souless but i happy to have played it

Saying Sonic Adventure is better than Mario 64 is one thing, and opinion and therefore valid, but then it is said that you never really played Mario 64, so how do you know? You undermine your own opinion...
Sonic Adventure had its moments I'll grant you but Mario 64 was all killer and no filler.
There was more innovation in Wet/Dry World than in the entire Sonic Adventure.
It's level design, music and audio, all great.
The only place things were poor were the early use of textures, or lack thereof, and the camera lens covered in Vaseline that N64 titles suffer with.
The Killer Whale scene was great and in all the media promoting the game but it was a glorified QTE event and once it was over it was back to lacklustre 3d platforming.

Well, in truth, the 3d Sonic games have played host to a litany of dreadful associate characters and voice acting.
So, Big the Cat, Silver, Shadow, Amy Rose, can someone throw up a list?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,029 ✭✭✭Mr.Saturn

I have to say, I'm grateful for Shadow's inclusion in SA2. Otherwise, it'd be mostly be yawn-inducing fetch quests, and confusing mech-combat. Of course, this'd be remedied immediately by just focusing a Sonic title on, wait for it, Sonic.

I mean, they were on the right track, with SA2 dropping the Mario 64-baiting Adventure Fields, but bogged it down with making the rest of the roster a mandatory play. SA 1 and 2 are good games, or very good, were they not subject to whimsical designs choices of the part of some oddity on Sonic Team, who's every bit as mad as they seem to be powerful.

I like shadow , i thought he was cool

He was dark and edgy and actually swore when he said damn. He was so down with the kids.

    poochy.jpg

    TBH

It was a really weird attempt to turn Sonic more emo for the final fantasy and Shibubya teen crowd.

At least he wasn't weird like that Bat with the mega-boobs, whatsherface.

Shadow the Hedgehog the game was one giant facepalm.

I was really disappointed when I unlocked Shadow in the new Sonic racing game.

"So Ryo Hazuki, Toejam / Earl, Ristar, Ecco (who wouldn't want to see a dolphin driving a car?) et al. aren't in this game, but this ****er is?"

Also, as an aside, I find it really weird in the game that when you choose Nights he/she is the vehicle instead of the driver. It's actually creepier than it sounds.

I've never had any major interest in the Inazuma Eleven franchise. That's just changed, with the addition of one simple addition: dinosaurs

Avoid this seller on ebay http://myworld.ebay.ie/virtualvillage-co-uk/?_trksid=p4340.l2559

Has a high rating number etc but is dodgy as feck(loads of bad feedback in the last month or so). Took my money, lied about shipment and provided fake tracking codes.

Dolphins flying planes worked for Sonic Wings/Aero Fighters.
