I don't understand why people are looking for reviews.

It's the same game, with different guns.
You can't really review a MP game that well due to the player aspect of it in the way they play.

Black ops 1 looks at least 10 times more appealing than MW3, i also prefer the look of blops over nearly any other CoD aswel. MW3 was a saturated mess in the graphical department imo, really depressing game.

From what i've seen of blops 2 it looks nice and colorful, hopefully there's a nice balance over all the maps.

dont think much people care about how the maps look etc, theres no point having a really colourful looking game with amazing graphics if the game is full of bull**** and unenjoyable to play

This might come as a shock but there are people who actually enjoy the SP of the COD series too :D

some of it looks cool but it'll be more of the walk down this corridor with stuff exploding until something happens. be fun trying to find the levels clearly robbed from movies, the twin rotor helicopters falling out of the sky is clearly from Transformers 3

I quite like the idea of a branching storyline and different endings. I'd replay only my favorite missions when I finish them normally but it sounds like replayability is there this year.

is there branching stuff? colour me interested, the campaigns are usually 8hrs of brain candy, I've only ever replayed COD4 and MW2s ones.

I dunno I found Blops to be very brown, except ones like Nuketown and Kowloon and a few others. MW3 is as well though bar a few maps, although that being said COD4 was very dull looking in places as well, theres a few maps that seem to be constructed purely out of orange. MW2 is the best looking COD game imo, loads of variety in the maps.

I wouldn't say it was that brown, a few maps like havana/villa yeah, but then you had nuketown/firing range/summit/jungle/grid/launch/radiation/stadium, nice range there. Only maps i didn't like were array (Was fun in private games)/cracked and crisis. Maybe i noticed it more when i was making montages, everything in mw3 looked so desaturated.. whereas i always thought blops was very clear with plenty of colour. MW2 had lots of great maps, i can only really think of a couple that i didn't like playing.

Of course "much" people care about how the maps look... who the hell wants to play a game on ugly assed maps ? I for one(And im sure most people on this forum) thought blops was enjoyable to play.. at least compared to MW3.

I really hope they stick to this and come down hard on boosters. It's such a useless thing to do.

After playing Black Ops over the weekend, finding it pretty good so far. Only thing is there is a serious amount of head glitching going on..

Has anyone else played it and noticed that? I'm hoping that it's because it's brand new and people are just desperate for kills and willing to camp/headglitch badly.

I reckon once it's out a while people will be more comfortable running and gunning.

Sub-machine guns looking like the way forward too, MP7 is the starter sub-machine anyway if people were wondering.

    :)

Anyone get their confirmation of shipment email from gamestop yet? :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 564 ✭✭✭ugglasdav

i think if people dashboard they get like a time penalty or something, so they cant look for a game for a certain amount of time

Thanks. But you'd think they might've changed the status on the website order page. What about tracking numbers?
Anyway, as long as it's on its way I'm happy.

Nuketown zombies is included in the season pass

    http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/seasonpass
That just says there'll be four DLC including Zombie maps, last Black Ops had three map packs including three zombie maps but none of them were the World At War maps that came with the hardened, they all came out separately.
