Quick question, anyone know how much an AGS101 is worth?

(First 'about 3 fiddy' comment is immediately banished to jammaplus!)

    Over 9 thousand anyway

Thanks! Just looking at one for 53 delivered with a charger and 7 crap games. I wonder can I get the shipping down if the games are left out.

I say give it a whirl, although GBA titles don't exactly weigh a lot.
But, with the value of the games subtracted you may save 5 or 10 notes, you never know.
    Best of luck though!

Oh, I was driving into town today and I saw a group of three young ladies dressed in varying Japanese garb, looked much like the stuff our Sera is a fan of, looked very well, I wonder if something was on this weekend?

The one I got off adverts during the week was 50e without a charger, already had one so was grand. That felt like a fair price to me anyway

The trailer for the AVGN movie... could be fun.

So I just got the following PM from the rage:

    Hey Steve,

I believe Nicholas, our owner, would love to have a discussion with you at some point. Currently he is away in Guatemala, and may or may not be enjoying himself thoroughly (he's that kind of person). Regarding our prices, Nicholas has instructed us to use ebay & adverts.ie as a basis for pricing. This is painstaking for us employees as the prices are constantly fluctuating. I sense that you may have a solution that will change R.A.G.E. protocol permanently. Am I correct in this assumption or just caught in a moment of excitement and possible presumptuousness? It's all happening so fast! You seem to be an "ideas type of guy" and forthcoming in a way that commands respect. I will definitely inform Nicholas of this conversation in preparation of your conversation. Is that satisfactory?

I'm not sure whether to feel patronised or take them up on their offer. What do you guys think?

    Wow what a c*nt.

Yeah, if he said that to me, I'd be awfully tempted to print out loads of copies and stick it all up around Fade Street.

I'd have to see what it's in response to before passing too harsh a judgement on them.

Wasn't it in relation to their new 'rare game' wall section which doesn't seem to feature any rare games at all?

Doesn't matter what it was in relation to really. If Achilles said something untoward (not saying he did, but just worst possible scenario) than they should have just ignored him. Smarmy smart arsed condescending comments like that do nothing but make you look like an ass.

Anyway, leaving that behind, I backed out of the Pier Solar kickstarter. Looked at my credit card balance...no more purchases for me this month I think!

Have a feeling I'll regret that next year when I see them on ebay for 500!

Edit - is that Beneath a Steel Sky one going ahead?

Yes I think so. They got close enough to the required target and have said they'll do it.
Unless something has changed in the last week or two that is.

Ooh, I wonder will they have an Oculus Rift at that? I'd go for that alone!

Wahhhh, remember I said I missed out on the dev version of that as the kickstarter closed?

You can now just order it, shipping in January.

Why the hell are there suddenly so many things I want to buy at once :(

Well, he was talking about how he thinks about me being naked and caressing a sonic 2 cart not so long ago, so god only knows what he said.

Oh! Bomberman 2 on Snes not being co-op is pure balls! Had everything set up earlier today and it was like no co/op for you two. Prepare to battle!
Two player head to head on bomberman is sacrilegious and the game should only be played with in order of rightness:
With at least 4 in battle
    3 if you must
    2 player co-op
    1 player 'story' mode

And way down in dead place - 2 player head to head*

*only wario blast can be deemed worser

Why is Dynablaster a bitch to get in nice condition for cheapskate

If you don't like the shop don't go in and advise any potential customers you know to do the same. I don't see the point in getting involved in a argument with them. It's top end retail prices they charge and that's not going to change. Like any other purchase in life it pays to shop around to get the best value.

To be honest I actually kinda like the place and I know what they're trying to do they're just doing it in a way that isn't going to keep them in business for very long... I'd hate to see a shop that sells retro vinyl and old games and consoles go under as I love places like that.

Anyway for those of you interested this is the message that I sent to them that prompted said response:

Any chance we could have a civilised discussion at any point regarding why looking to Ebay / Amazon for a pricing structure on rare games is a bad idea in general for everyone concerned?

I'd really like that but of course as a business you have every right to run it whatever way you see fit... I just think I'd have a few interesting points to make.

It'd be worth a private debate anyway if you're up for it?

Ebay.com brought back all the platform filters for games searching!!!! Wise move ebay, they had the filters reduced from 68 down to 7...which was poxy for regularly well over 500k results each time.

I kept clicking NO when it would come up 'Were these results useful? If not, tell us why' at the bottom of every page. I had a big long rant typed up & kept pasting it in...so it seems one man can make a difference! Well, either that or half the planet was telling them the same thing :D

I can see the headlines, "EnterNow changes minds of eBay on categories, now preparing for mission to the Middle East"

    Lol, ebay.com done, Syria next.

Makes such a difference, what were they thinking having 7 filters? All current gen stuff, you had to manually search for retro stuff & it was really hit & miss

I'm finding myself drawn to the Parodius series now that I have all but conquered owning the Gradius series.
I have Parodius on the Snes, the Eu version, and the GB edition, now to get the two other Snes game and the remakes on the PS or Saturn.
There is also the compilation on the PSP.
So, time to hit the Credit Union for a loan to cover it all!
That said, for the price of Halo 4 one could make a considerable dent into completing such an endeavour!
Oh, and before Retr0 mentions it, the MSX versions can kiss my ass, and the PC Engine has the Turbo Everdrive to keep it company!

You could but you'd just get a smart answer about their Tardis being invaded by rodents of an unusual size, and they are more set up for a battle across R@reness and price!

Prices on some games have gone mad. Just been looking at my archived purchases on ebay, never knew that was there, and it's shocking.
Sunset Riders cart got for less than €20 posted in 2010.
Megaman x2 and Terranigma each less than €50 posted and they came from Australia, so post was a bit more expensive.
    Boxed Super Castlevania for €40!

I know it is still possible to get thoose games on ebay for less but it's getting harder and harder.

Will the prices keep going up or will we experience a bust?

US and EU are going through a 16 bit phase at the moment. In japan they are going through an 8 bit phase. Wait a while and it will probably die down.
