Hope it's only a few weeks or at least not just a poorly done port like IV.

I think my point the other day about these games being made with consoles in mind has just been proven :pac:

Will likely end up on the PC too, but the consoles were the priority all along.

For those asking about the PC platform, we... don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time.

    Fuck.

That's very much a matter of opinion, and yours differs greatly to mine.

Star Wars Episode 7 is what he's referring to I suspect. I'm actually excited about GTA IV though, it looks like it's returning to a crazier world based on those promo pictures.

So now that we have a better idea of when this is coming out, might as well start making a wish list for the fun of it.

    Police bikes and unmarked units
    Airplanes
    Silenced weapons.
    Taxi and Ambulance missions.
Better clothing choice and basically similar things that San Andreas had, e.g working out, becoming fat or skinny.

    JETPACKS!

It's been a while since I played IV, but arent police bikes and silenced pistol already in the game? Cant remember if you could fly planes or not so assuming you couldnt:

    Yes/Yes
    Yes
    Meh
    Yes/No
    Dont care/fcuk no!

All that working out, eating to stay alive stuff was the worst thing about SA. Leave it the way it was in IV in that eating replenished health but you didnt need it to stay alive. I wouldnt be surprised to see the LA Noire/RDR replenish system used, making food useless.

The biggest thing I want from the game is that your actions actually mean something. In IV, only one decision affected the storyline. Everything else had no bearing on anything. Again going back to RDR, I think they should similar to that. Good actions get you good rewards, evil actions make things harder. It would make the game different every time.

I said it before, but the dead eye and weapons wheel from RDR also, please :D

I hope (and I think they will) return to the more fun element that San Andreas had over GTA4. I'm delighted with the setting too as San Andreas was my fav, I loved the contrast of the city with the countryside and desert areas.

    I'd like to see:

Animals (one of the leaked images has a police dog)
    Female cops
    Snow
    jetpacks
lots of customisation options (clothing etc)
    Gambling
    gatling gun
more buildings to walk into and explore
    functioning carnival rides
    flame thrower
    no Russian accent
    Bigfoot :P

I think they were in TBoGT

Anyone else miss this being on the radio? :(

Made it all the way up to Vice City :(

While on the topic of wishlists; the ability to make your own custom radio station
Seriously if you could, then i'll be uploading some of the best songs and radio chatter from previous GTAs, including the above

    Not sure about the silenced guns, but in online multiplayer in TBOGT there was a police bike;

    300px-PoliceBike-TBOGT-front.jpg

It was never actually on the road (ie; you could steal it from a station and do what you wanted with it, but it never actually appeared around the place with Police officers riding around on it or such).

I'm sure there'll be more of them in V. Hopefully some (decent) vigilante missions, too.

To be honest, as I always say, the most important thing, to me, regarding the Police, is the lights on the Emergency Service vehicles. Rockstar's lighting effects look like something that belongs on the megadrive when compared to what people/modders of the PC version come up with fairly quickly.

    I would love:
    tanks to make a return
    Small Submarine
swimming under water with things to find
    horses
    car mods
    ability to climb most objects
    hang gliders with motors
    being able to pimp
buy property and high end rare cars
    wild animals bears wolfs etc
Plant and farm equipment like a combine to cut people up.
Chainsaw, drills and hammers to use as weapons.

yes im evil, more to come later....

    From a Toronto WalMart;

Notice it's the same as the female cop artwork (minus the female cop, obviously). I'm actually relieved to see they're two different pieces of artwork thrown together. They didn't look right together at all (she doesn't exactly give off an "I'm being arrested" vibe).

My wish list is fairly small, because I loved IV more than SA or VC, and thought it was damn near perfect bar a few exclusions.

    - More clothing options: The IV clothing was SH*T! Everything bar Perseus was atrocious. I want hoodies, jeans, sneakers, cool windbreakers, trackie bottoms that don't look naff, and sunglasses back!
    - Hair: Let us get haircuts FFS! :P
    - Vehicle Mods: A glaring omission from IV. I want to be able to customise a car with rims, paint, lights, bumpers - the whole shebang!
    - Garages: One of my biggest gripes was the lack of parking space. I don't really want them to go down the Saints Row or Sleeping Dogs route, but I want to be able to save a decent number of my customised cars and cool ones that I steal.
    - Better Interiors and More of Them: I'd like more buildings to explore, more bars to get drunk in, some casinos, strip clubs, etc.
    - Fix the weapon shops: It was so irritating having to walk around the counters to find the weapon you wanted, bring back the Ammu-Nation system from SA.
    - Keep the friends system from IV, but make it so that you have to ring them, not the other way around.

There're probably more, but those are the main ones.

I'd actually hate to see too much customisation options for the character and vehicles. I never saw the point in modding any cars in SA because they'd just get destroyed. And the "Haircut/tattoo/fat/skinny/muscular/eating" part of SA just annoyed me.

Some good clothing and some flashier vehicles about the place. Just give me enough to do in the game itself that even if the options for customisation were there, there'd be enough in the city to entertain myself with.

Depends on your playstyle. When I modded cars in SA, that car was driven at ten miles an hour around the place just exploring and listening to the radio, before taking it back and parking it in a garage for a rainy day.

I loved it because it was something completely optional and just for fun. If you aren't someone interested in it then you could just ignore it, while those who like that sort of stuff would get a few extra hours out of the game.
And the "Haircut/tattoo/fat/skinny/muscular/eating" part of SA just annoyed me.

+1. Hated the skinny/thin/muscly thing. I'd hate to see that come back because it actively interfered with gameplay, in that you had to stop what you were doing and go to a Cluckin' Bell just to stop the "YOU ARE GETTING HUNGRY AND WILL START TO LOSE WEIGHT!" popping up on the screen.

But again, the haircuts, tattoos and clothing was optional. If you wanted to spend time at it you could, if not you could just carry on with your day.

Once in SA, I got the MASSIVE Grove Street tattoo on CJ's back, and right outside the tattoo parlour I walked into a group of Ballas. They said "You representin'?" (or something), to which I replied negatively (since I'd no weapons and didn't fancy a fight). I turned around to leave, and once they saw the tattoo (CJ was shirtless) they attacked me with knives and bats. :D:D
