I was just thinking that earlier. I'm on 70% in Red Dead Redemption now so I'm thinking of what to do once I finish. GTAIV again, or something else. Had we not gotten the spring news I'd have went with something else without even thinking but now I cant decide

The last time I played GTA4 was on my pc so I decided to dig out my original ps3 version for a change. Wow, the graphics are poor by comparison. I sure hope with a much bigger map they don't compensate on graphics further.

I'd say if the trailer was finished it would have been up and running by now. All they need to do is upload it to their servers. I'm sure somebody there has a laptop.

Got 2 posters from my local xtra vision today The poster is awesome, got 2 because it's a double sided poster.

Asked the girl behind the desk about the photo viewers, she hadn't a clue what I was on about. I guess they are only for the US

I also started gta iv again 2 months ago but i got so far and the missions stopped just before romans wedding/kates death. i did all the things youre supposed to like doin activities with your friends but nothing happened. i started a new game yesterday but now i might just play gta 2. thanks for reminding me about that, theyve been available for a while now. R* are a sound bunch!!

Bah, wouldn't mine picking up one of those posters, but think I might wait closer to release and find out which stores are doing a midnight launch for it.

On a side note, saw this "review" of GTA V on Amazon:

Rockstar are now extracting the urine out of all their loyal fans and will need to watch their backs because ubisoft are gonna blow them out of the water with Watch Dogs if they aren't careful. Rockstar be Warned!

I'd say those early advertising retailers are going to regret doing that without knowing what pre-order stuff they were going to be getting in.

Ye guys know that if you wait for the game to come out, the shops usually get big displays for the games. The day after the game comes out just go down and ask can you have it. They'll usually tell you when they're replacing it and to come down then.

I still remember having a practically life-sized John Cena and Batista cut-out in my room for a while. The manager was happy to be giving it to me, as he was only throwing it in the bin, anyway (this was an Xtra-Vision, if it makes any difference).

Probably, yup. I went in today and they had all their GTA V stuff gone and nothing from R* out on display. (They had cases with the logo, and pre-order now etc).

Well the Gameinformer mag out on the 8th has the exclusive content so it would be a kick in their teeth if the trailer came out before then. I could be wrong.

Oh ya sandy... But I thought I read in this thread the trailer might come out the same day as the trailer last year. but that was a few days ago. but like you said sandy could have slowed them down.

Not really. The mag is going to go more in-depth than any 2 minute video could.
If they release it before the magazine is out it could get interest up for those who aren't pushed about getting gameinformer to check it out.

Trailer was supposed to have been released by the time those letters got to stores, I'd imagine (as the letters, which we now know are genuine, said they were excited about having released the second trailer).

I'd imagine it was set for the 1 year anniversary of the first trailer.

So, at the absolute least, you'll get the trailer before GameInformer come out (as I imagine they've seen the trailer and cover stuff that's in it).


However, R* have pretty much confirmed it to be out this week:

There will hopefully be a trailer early this week. Then there will be a lot of info released in a magazine called Game Informer which comes out on November 8th
