Haven't really thought about what features I would like to have in V because I think I might end up expecting a lot and then be disappointed.

But one feature I would like that I think would be awesome is if you find a really nice car/vehicle that's pretty rare you can instead of driving for miles and miles just to put it into storage you can call up one of your mates and for a fee he will bring the car back to the garage for you.
Maybe then he can bring it to you if you call him up similar to one of the options in TLAD.

I really hope some cars are very very rare in this game and when you see them its a moment to behold and simply walking infront of them and getting in is made a lot harder because they might know what you're at so they try and run you down or maybe its another gangster (assuming you are some sort of gangster) and pulls out a handgun and tries to stop you getting near the door.
It would give more of an achievement to actually having a certain car in your garage.
But yeah, I also hate how you get a nice car and drive around the corner and then there is droves of them about. :o

This thread is about to move into overdrive and I love it!

Really hope that Grove street is included in this and hasn't changed much. For nostalgia's sake

Something I really want with this game is some decent radio stations. IV just did not have enough options for my liking. Vice city and SA where amazing in that aspect.

Indeed. Radio really needs work. Piss poor in IV IMO, especially the talk radio stations. WKTR and PRL just didn't have the same genius as WCTR in SA. I'd still listen to Gardening with Maurice today, but I wouldn't go near Judge Grady or whatever he was called.

Vice City and San Andreas were period pieces though and were games based around cultures which were intrinsically tied into music. GTA IV didn't have that. I agree that there could have been more variety amongst the stations but it's starting off from a massive disadvantage.

What I've never understood is why they don't have a decent pop station. I remember getting excited when Flashing Lights came on the radio within an hour of starting IV, but it was really the only chart song in the game.

I'm sure there're some licencing issues there, but I'd be surprised if there weren't a lot of artists who'd love to have their songs in the game.

    And BMXs :D

Grab a bike and cycle down to grove street :D

They could seriously make it a series of missions where the Grove street and Ballas and still engaged in turf wars, each side stubbornly hanging onto their territory.
As a result, city development has left them to their own devices so the areas still look the same as they did in the 90s, all run down. You get introduced to Grove street families through another contact. You meet some new faces before eventually meeting the higher ups, including the Johnson brothers, who want to end Balla influence and bring peace to the area.

Apologies, just rambling :o , on with the thread

Am I the only one that reckons Grove street, particularly the little cul de sac that CJ lived in, will be a ghost estate or some such. It being LA, I reckon there'll be a bit of gang warfare in there alright, but I don't think it'll play too much of a role. They already did it and seem to be focusing on more (money) pressing matters this time around (though I could be completely wrong of course).

I'd like to see car modification brought back. I used to enjoy souping up my car, getting nitros and the likes on it, driving it out to the desert really, really carefully, making sure no one touched it (and hammering in the health cheat every couple of minutes when I did invariably hit something) and then after making sure I got there okay, tearing up the hills and over banks and soaring through the air, using nitros to project the car into the air off makeshift ramps; using the wings of the planes in airplane graveyard as ramps (that never really worked, but you had to try it).

I just hope it has the Cars fly cheat, like in SA it was breath taking flying a car with "Hey johnny" playing on K rose.

I'd actually hate to see too much customisation options for the character and vehicles. I never saw the point in modding any cars in SA because they'd just get destroyed. And the "Haircut/tattoo/fat/skinny/muscular/eating" part of SA just annoyed me.

Some good clothing and some flashier vehicles about the place. Just give me enough to do in the game itself that even if the options for customisation were there, there'd be enough in the city to entertain myself with.

Sure jesus they mighn't put any good cars in because they;ll only get destroyed  Hate this, DONT PUT CUSTOMIZATION IN BECAUSE I DONT WANT IT

A snippet of news from earliers take two conference call:
Earlier today, Take-Two Interactive released their earnings report for the previous quarter, hinting that Grand Theft Auto V is unlikely to hit until after their fiscal year ends on March 31st, 2013.

In the report, Take-Two revised their revenue estimates for this fiscal year to $1.15 billion, down from $1.8 billion back in July. While it’s far from certain, the most likely culprit is that Grand Theft Auto V‘s planned launch will likely come during fiscal year 2014, which kicks off April 1st.

This interpretation is supported further by the wording in another section of the press release. ”Moreover, with Grand Theft Auto V slated for spring 2013, we are poised to generate substantial revenue and earnings growth in fiscal year 2014,” the report reads.

Unless GTA V launches after or just before that March 31st deadline, it’s unlikely—but not impossible—that Take-Two would want to single out fiscal year 2014 as they have.

With next spring rapidly approaching, you can expect to hear a whole lot more about GTA V in the very near future, concrete release date included.

It'll be a good financial year for them, with V's release alone. Will they make much cash in the attic from DLC, I wonder (presumably there'll be at least one DLC pack released within 12 months).

GTA was one game where they could have released many DLCs and I would have got them all. I hope they bring out more for V.

With the amount of DLC planned for Max Payne multiplayer, I'd say they will do the same with V, I setup a Boards 'Crew' for Max Payne 3 that will carry over to GTA V. I will post it up again when GTA V is actually out but ye can feel free to join anytime ye want. The crew is open to PC, xbox, and PS3 users

    http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/boards-ie

All the talk of San Andreas is definitely getting me in the mood to get it on PSN when it's released.

Also, Xtravision put up on FB that they are now taking preorders and you get a free poster from tomorrow if you preorder. The pic they put up was the lady in the bikini holding up the V.

Sweet, I'm gonna try and get my hands on one of those posters from Xtra-vision.

How do I join the Boards crew? I'm signed into the Rockstar Social Club and I've followed your link, but I don't see a 'join' option.

Small bit of info on DLC plans and the fact April is the earliest we will see it.

When the question of GTA 5 DLC was raised Zelnick replied, “I think you can safely assume that Rockstar, as the label that led the charge in downloadable content with Grand Theft Auto 4, I think you’d have every reason to believe, purely because of the ground-breaking nature of the title itself and the multiplayer in the title, that there’s going to be a lot of interesting stuff. But I’ll leave that to Rockstar to announce.”

He also confirmed GTA 5′s Spring release date saying, “We’ve announced that it’s during spring 2013 release time period, and not in this fiscal year.”

Sorry for image size, look at the mountains :)

Some laugh if it was locked off until you progress further into the storyline

I remember using the flying cars cheat to fly over the gates on Vice City to get to the second island early on in the story. GTA at it's finest

Well they tried being too 'realistic' in GTA4, turned out to be mostly a borefest. If they threw in wacky stuff like flying car cheats that you could do when not doing the serious missions, that would be the cherry on top.
