They have a count down to the first trailer? In the past, I think they gave a few days notice with a countdown on their site to the release of a new trailer.

Yeah but this time they sent out letters (that look very official) that say they already released the second trailer (you can see it in an earlier post on this thread, last page, perhaps).

So I think they kind of have to acknowledge it now.

However, I don't think they'll do a lot with NY out of power (not so much because of the R* office, but because of the city itself. That's a lot of people that won't be able to rush to the website to check out the new trailer, and I reckon R* want as many people as possible to be able to see it when it comes out, as soon as it comes out (if nothing else, so they can see how much traffic they get?).

Maybe I'm just too skeptical.

Well I'd agree, but unless someone not only hacked themselves a little R* newswire account to mention the trailer, and also put some GTA V merchandise and packaging into production, I'd say it's safe to say it's all genuine.


(mind you, the lengths some people are willing to go to..!)

Totally understandable when you consider that Rockstar’s main offices, where they write the games, oversee development and I think make the trailers, is in the part of lower Manhattan that is currently in its third day of blackout with power not expected to be restored for another couple of days.

T'was this time last year he was wondering why did he move there (this date last year they released the first trailer).

Hopefully today we'll get an answer. And it better be good! Honestly I'm doubtful that the trailer is going to have much to blow me away. I can't see what they can do at this stage, but the game is really kinda just looking like a San Andreas with better graphics at the moment (not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but... I don't know... I hope they've something up their sleeve).

Manhattan is to get its power back today (If all goes to plan), so depending on whether R* are willing to work over the weekend I wouldnt expect to be seeing it until Monday.
