I can't wait to see it, I was unfortunate enough to see Stallones skidmark of a movie, this one looks like it gets everything right.

Quick question though, I am thinking of picking up a new something for the innards of my Ikeacab.
Maybe a mini pc type affair.
Any tips out there for the sort of specs it should have, CPU, ram, probably an integrated gpu.
Cheap and cheerful is the name of the game.

This came through on a feed it may have been posted before. It's about the 3DO hd adapter and I know a few people have them here.

I can't wait to see it, but feck do I hate 3D! I was hoping Cineworld would at least have one 2D showing.

I'm running a Samsung NC10 in mine and it's dealing with all the MAME standards lovely. The only down side to it is it doesn't boot closed, so you need to keep it open about a third of an inch. Really nice and small though.

I'd really recommend throwing in a Dreamcast with a VGA cable/SLG300. It's absolutely amazing for vertical shmups. And the scanlines, oh the scanlines! :)

They do... but only one screening a day from what I can tell.

I'm heading to the Movie Fest thing in Cineworld tomorrow though.

Just saw that on the site now, only one showing in 2D at half 6 - what a crock! :(

Really want to see it tomorrow. Might just have to give in and watch it in 3D.

Yeah I posted about it here before but I didn't realise Stone Age Gamer were getting involved. Would be great to see them stock it as I've been in contact with the guy in Russia or wherever he is and he's so hard to get an answer out of.

I think it would be safer getting it off Stone Age Gamer even it was a few quid more.

Finally, a reason to buy the FZ-1's idiot brother!
Looks the business, I certainly would be interested in it, the entire 3DO back catalogue onboard, nice!

Its stockpiles of 'old' games might not be as old as you may think, however.

"We don't have a lot of NES' or Dreamcasts. That's some pretty old stuff. But we just took Game Boy Advance out of stores recently, about a year and a half ago. Original Xbox, I think we took out of stores in 2009, as I recall. We're reducing the footprint of PlayStation 2."

It seems GameStop's 'vintage' plans won't scale back much beyond year 2000, but Raines was again reluctant to discuss details. "We're thinking about everything. Nothing we'd really want to call out yet. Our dotcom team is right now grinding through a lot of opportunities to see what's out there and see what we can get our hands on and what we can merchandise."

I know Gamestop here got shot of all of it's old GBA stock, they bunged the lot, unboxed, into boxes behind the counters of some shops about 4/5 years ago.
Then the sold them off for a fiver a go.
I bought a ton of them!
And then they were gone :(

The Xbox stuff, as reported, are gone.

The PS2 stuff resides in a handful of stores, gradually eroding away, like a cliff face where the stuff thats left is hard stuff to shift, in a cliff you're talking granite, basalt, in Gamestop you're talking about Fifa 03 and anything with the words "Army Men" in the title!

Most US gamestops had a pretty decent selection of unboxed GBA stuff until a couple of years ago. I bought between 50-70 good quality (and some hard-to-find) GBA games there over a 5 year period or so. Last year they had consolidated the stock in each area into an individual store (amazing selection if you found one of those), and this year it's all gone, the cabinets now housing unboxed DS stuff.

In all the excitement I neglected to announce my 10,000 post!
Imagine, all that typing and yet saying very little, very little of consequence at the very least....
Still, I get to boss you lot around, slag off Goldenaxe and Streets of Rage without getting banned, so there are some advantages!

Is there any tradition or anything for 1,000th/5,000th/10,000th posts?

Since this is a retro forum it might be a good fit.

When you hit 10k posts, you get 4 stars under your name. Not noticeable for a mod seeing as they already have 4. That and you can officially call yourself a nerd

Look at this tool parked right in front of my gate. He's been there all day. For all the idiot knows, I have a car - and what makes it even worse, look at all the parking space by the wall on the other side!

What to do in this situation? Abusive note under the wiper?

Clamp them! That would be hilarious!

Angry notes tend not to work unfortunately.

    Sir / Madam,

If you find it agreeable, I would be ever so appreciative if you could move your autovehicle. It clashes with my wallpaper. Black and gold is so 1927.

    Yours cordially,
    Sir Oisin of Pantry.

If it's a council owned road I think you could get them to tow the car.

Egg the car and then throw flour on it, you might have to raid the pantry but it takes much effort to get that stuff off once it dies in

Simple solution to this problem, look inside the car making sure the gear stick is in neutral and the handbrake on.
Get a trolley jack like a mechanic uses, jack the car up at the centre rear axle.
Then for the fun bit get yourself and another gentleman and push the car down the raod leaving it in the middle of the busiest road around the area, this will cause a huge issue and then the police will get involved.

The owner will know that they had parked outside your house and will now assume that you are psychotic since you came up with a whacky plan like that.:D

This is a technique I have used to great success on several occasions.

Question time, I know that I should be collecting NTSC N64 stuff but would it make a difference what games or is it just the console?

I have a few N64 games that I got in a lot a while ago and want to know if I should sell them and start fresh again
