You my friend talk some bollox

I'd prefer a goalscorer to a run-around and achieve nothing player but that's just me. And I'm not your friend buddy.

I'd love an Inzaghi in his prime type player at Arsenal. Tormented defenders, not with skill, but with runs and being a general nuisance, and always seemed to be there to put the ball away - we create enough chances, need someone to score them.

So because he hasn't scored in his first two games for Arsenal, he is a "run around and achieve nothing player"

    :pac:

By that logic RVP would be that too as he didnt score in the first two games either last season. I do think Giroud will come god just needs to get off to a start.

He doesn't need to become god, good will do, but if he does :D

Ah there is a blast from m younger years :D I have a VHS recording of him scoring that free-kick from inside the penalty area at Highbury, think it was against Villa.

Arsenal won 3-0 in the next gen series, with Akpom getting two and an assist Yennaris getting the other. Gnabry also meant to have a very good game.

Spmeone find some highlights please :D.

He could well come good, difference is that Berbatov we already know is good.

Akpom is a name I've been hearing a lot the last two weeks.

Berbatov has apparently turned down Fiorentina and Juve and will sign for Fulham....

Sorry but your assertions about Giroud are quite unfounded. The lad has only played in two games and just one full match. It takes time to blend into a new system i.e style of play and with new team mates.

Unlike you, I think he has a lot of potential and like some folks have said, he is a hardworker and you can sense the hunger from him. He is also a prolific goalscorer- highest in the French league last year I believe. If he had scored that long range effort against Stoke which was quite decent enough, he would have been a hero right now. I will add a link soon in case you missed it.

Here are excerpts from his interview on arsenal.com about the comparison between him and RVP

“In our way, we are two different players. He spent eight years here and had a very good season last year; I need a little adjustment time but I hope to make my mark as quickly as possible. And I hope to score a lot of goals.”

It is too early to start critising our new signings- trust me it is tough for them especially with all the drama with RVP and Song. I see Giroud becoming our top scorer this season.

For anyone to consider or suggest that Arsenal sign Berbatov who is not even in the top 4 in Man United strikers pecking order is simply beyond comprehension- we could as well sign Defoe or Crouch, they will make better signings than Beba to be honest.

Walcotts got a fair amount of abuse in here today & yesterday, all based on rumors he rejected a contract and wanted away. It looks like he's staying now we've no idea what he wants or what the club is offering, however if he wanted to walk to Pool or City he could have, from the outside to me it might be a playing issue as how do Arsenal plan to use him. But he's the first player since Flamini we've let slip into his last year and not sold out so I doubt Wenger is worried about his commitment and from Walcotts perspective he's showing money isn't a driver or else he'd av went to City.

I'm glad if he stays whilst he's not always been a danger he scored and got us some valuable points last year, and is a great player to have in Europe

You mentioned he could have walked to city or Liverpool are any of them interested, have they bid yet
I'm not so sure maybe that's why he is still here

If City wanted Sinclair and thought Theo was available they'd go with him Theo > Sinclair. It's Theo's ability I'd worry about not his commitment

You my friend talk some bollox

    He can't help it.
He watches assists and goals only, remember? ;)

So Theo isn't going anywhere, yet.
Sounds like he has been told, do it on the pitch and you will get your raise.

Re: Giroud. It's been two bloody game!. the lad has only played 120 minutes of competitive football for us. Wait until January before deciding if he's a flop or not.
After all, it took Thierry Henry something like ten matches before he scored his first goal for us.

Twitter rumblings(I know) that we may be making a bid to sign Dempsey. Versatile, experienced, goal scorer. I'd be happy enough tbh.

Also need to give him slack because he's such a devilishly handsome man

As a male, my predilection is towards the opposite sex but I totally concur with your observation.:D

Good news if true. He can only get better really, think ever since The Oxs inclusion into the side it has brought Theo on somewhat, but still not to the level we expect from him.

That is the definition of optimism if i ever seen it. All i can say is that the money in football is quite ridiculous when Theo Walcott can turn down £75k a week. Insane money for a player who seems to almost forget the ball half the time and has no first touch. As Charlie George said on the Arsenal stadium tour,

"Before you die, pray you come back as a Premiership footballer because even average players can earn abnormal amounts of money"

Better to have some faith in our players rather than bash them after every mistake. The thing with Theo is that he teases us with what he can actually do once in every 10 or so games.

Depends on how much we're paying him TBH. If he's going to be a top earner at the club I think it's a bad move for the club. If we managed to keep his wages down I'd be happy enough as in my opinion, he's a fairly good squad player to have, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we sold him at a good price.

Fair play for your positivity and i see where your coming from but if Arsenal are to win trophies then consistency is the key.

Agree and obviously Theo isn't exactly Mr Consistent but i would hate to see him play his best football at Chelsea or Liverpool or whoever. He's definitely worth having around for those matches that are fast end to end stuff where he can use his pace to rip defenses apart.
