I was rallyin across the feild this morning after cathel in the ould bucks Trooper, Hit a bump and heard a hugh bang! I though I fcuked the oil sump in the jeep. I nearly sh1t myself. Luckily there dosnt seem to be any oil leaking. :)

I got squeamish when I read that. I cracked a sump before and didn't notice... drove on a few hundred metres :( That was as far as I got.

I just did something REALLY bold!
I drove my car about 400m around the block!
It was only about twenty seconds of driving but god it felt good!

Right, no more of that 'till I have everything sorted on it... Very bold!

Ardennes, were you around Douglas today at all? Saw a minty Astra 5 door in the same colout as yours and with some damn shiney alloys.

Ordered some gtechniq nano composite polish on Saturday from clean car.ie, said it would be 2 working days and spot on the money it was delivered today to my door at 12.30. Included in the box was the polish and a letter addressed to me. In that was a small handwritten note thanking me for the business and a few gadgets with cleancar.ie on them.

It was a lovely touch and great to see an Irish firm responding well to its customers. I'll be ordering from them again.

Gave the ST a good wash there, hard water has my heart broke though, had to dry the car twice to get rid of most of the streaks/lines

Try using a squeege to flick off as much of the water as soon as possible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,032 ✭✭✭Jimbob 83

Would you consider a DI resin filter? I got this and it's been great, just wash the car and forget about it.

Got stuck behind a fossil driving a jetta and it was too dangerous to pass so I reset the trip computer for another "granny driving" experiment. 50.1 mpg on a 20km spin with the cruise set at 65kmh... Better than an RS4 tiddly aye!
