How do i find out if i'm in? when i clicked on 'view/accept offers' and 'view my application' both said 'currently unavailable' :/ is this because it's crashing or for another reason?

well that was pretty stupid of me.. does it not seem contradictory in the first paragraph they say within 3 working days and then at the end it says from 3 pm on the 23rd..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

    Read it again.

    Accept offer on 20th

    +3 days

    =23rd.

    What will you be studying?

Yeah it seems like they meant from not within, which makes more sense because I think I read on the accomodation page that UCD isnt actually notified by the cao about our acceptance for 2 days.

Logging in does not mean you're automatically registered. You log in to UCD connect, then click student lift tab, click the Student Information System image & log in again. When you do this, there will be an 'Enter Registration Process' button. You need to wait until the 23rd though. You will then fill in general info like name, address etc. On the 29th you can log on again & register your modules.

Only just applied for Campus accommodation there though and I don't think I'll get it, I'm like 2800 on the list or something. :/
    What are the chances??
Also, does anyone know any differences between Belgrove and Merville?
I've been advised to go for Merville but I think Belgrove is closer to the buildings I'd be studying in.

I was something like 2700 last year on the list and I got offered a place straight away! Id be about 95% sure youll get a place on campus, maybe not the first day the offers are sent out, but definitely within a week or two.
Ive lived in Belgrove, Glenomena and spent plenty time in the other 3 res - go for Merville, hands down! Belgrove can be very gloomy - and the renovated apartments in Belgrove are tiny. THe best houses in Merville are 15-25.

You might. 1000's might not have chosen or gotten UCD. But you're on the high end. Perhaps you should start searching elsewhere.

    Hey guys,

this is for everyone going into first year in UCD in September! I couldn't find another thread like this so I just made a new one.

Post whatever course you hope to do and any tips or questions you might have about starting there. I've been to the open days and I'm really excited to start!

I'm probably gonna end up doing English and History in Arts. I can't wait for freshers week as well - my friends already there said it was unreal!!:)

We might be in the same lectures! I'm down for English and History, but hope to take up History of Art too! :D
Was annoyed that I couldn't do Archaeology as well as English!:(
