Why would 45seconds be a problem?

Lets say I want to skip five minutes in a documentary and then it has to derp around and rebuffer for a century or two. And then if I want to go back to where I was it has to rebuffer again. It just is annoying

Yeah, I suppose. Mine tends to resume playing pretty fast so it never bothered me.

Have you tried clearing cache and cookie, and upping the flash players cache size? Give a look here, helped me with some videos, but if the upload is choppy/sh!te quality.

I had nothing but grief with youtube freezing/stupid green sceens etc. before installing the 12.7 beta drivers.

Can anyone recommend a program to monitor processor temperature?

Look up RealTemp or HWMonitor.

I use EnhanceMySe7en, you can do a lot more than temperature monitoring with it as well. http://seriousbit.com/tweak_windows_7/

I've recently started using HWiNFO64. Generally speaking, it seems to offer a lot more monitoring statistics than HWMonitor (my previous favourite) and is quick and light as well.

I use HWmonitor, its a great little program.

I seriously doubt core temp had a virus though. Its much more likely that it was a false positive by your AV. use Microsoft Security Essentials, its pretty much the leanest and best AV on the market at the moment, and its free.

its also very important that you don't use more than 1 Anti Virus program.

Most annoying bit is that it has been marked as being "in Transit" since Friday afternoon - I blame the UK department of DPD!!

It just showed that estimate delivery is 10th, still not here. I am on holidays, but I can't even go anywhere tomorrow now as I am waiting on 2 deliveries. They better come in tomorrow!
