    Best of luck with it.

They look really nice in reality tbh i also have the Original wheels even though they are in need of a refurb (using one as a spare as no spacesaver even just a compressor and repair kit) and the 19's look alot better

Great craic doing 220km's today in 6th with the steering wheel shaking like mad (needs to be balanced)

    Oh but the Boooooooooooo :o

    Even in 6th !

Was really pissed off since buying car and driving with good bit of volume on. Was afraid to try and take door panel off (thought I will break something, then I realized that only by trying, doing, and exploring I will learn to do something in cars myself rather than always ask mechanics), so I opened up front passenger door, checked speaker and damn it was old and dirty, I guess since car was built in 2001 previous owners never opened it up or changed speakers, they were bit rusty + 1 speaker was torn so it caused a terrible noise/vibrations. Then I went to maplin and bought pair of cheap 6 inch speakers (16 euro). Got home and luckly I had a kit for new speaker installing as they wouldn't fit into original cut. So I replaced both passenger and driver door speakers took all the crap like mirror controls, window controls out and here is what I ended up with.
Now I can finally drive stress-free because that old vibrating/shaking noise was really irritating me.

Obviously not a high-performance sound system, but well you get what you pay for and 16 euro is pretty good for what I got and I am happy with it)

had quite a mess to clean up after it, all was done in underground car park, tools used: screwdrivers and pliers. Approx time: 30 minutes per door (took me 3 hours for both doors as it was my first time, I kept forgetting simple things like latches, wires, and other stuff, but tested all electrics in door and works perfectly.

I know many would say: Why would you buy something for such an old car, but well I have to drive it for 1 more year, I rather pay 16 euro and be stress free driver :D

    Car: Opel corsa - 2001

Bit the bullet and fitted the Crystal clear indicators and Crystal Clear side repeaters...couple of things the quality of the side repeaters the gasket around them is worse then useless and I ended up using the ones of my existing ones....as for the front side one cheers to slipsliderg for the tip on the insulstion tape those suckers are guaranteed to popout otherwise.

With those above issues sorted I have to say it really modernises the MR2.

Polished my car this morning and it's beading veerrryy nicely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,920 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

On Saturday I washed the car, de-tarred it, washed it, clayed it, washed it, wet-waxed it. Yesterday I gave it a coat of Meg's polish followed by a coat of Meg's Gold Class wax followed by Meg's NXT 2.0 wax.

If beading is biblical, my car is moses :D

    Saw that :D

Hence saying the silver bulbs would finish the front :)

Still looks well though, whichever bulb you choose

When you gonna get those wheels sorted though? :pac::P

nah. just very conscious that its hard to portray emotion properly on a forum so wanted to ensure that my post didn't come across as bitchy or overly-critical ;):)
