I can assure you, it's far from a badge snob I am ;)

I've been looking at what's on offer but I'm not looking at any in particular because I have to sell my own car first and god knows how long that'll take!

How could he be a badge snob.........
    He drives a mazda:D

In dublin airport, gay paris here I come............again:(

I know it was point he'd be keeping the badge snobs happy, those who scoff at the Mazda, because its not a 520d.

Never said a 335 wasn't in your price range, just they all seem to be around 20000. Just assumed it wasn't.

You know what they say about assumptions, mother of all f**k ups.

    740i
    gs300

Why get a gs300? Go big or go home. gs 430 is the exact same tax.

To be honest, I don't know exactly what my price range is but I will know when I sell my MPS. The reason for this is because the longer it takes, the more time I have to save. With that said, I might just transfer my insurance onto the parents' car and keep saving for a while.

I don't see the point in buying a 335i. If I was going to do that, I'd go all out and get an M3, much better value for money.

Lovely car, but you need really nice tight pants to run damn thing.

    Tax
    Insurance
    General running costs

I would love one, but not in this country.

Only tax is expensive here and we have had that argument before. Buying especially and running to a degree is cheap here. If you can't get into big power here then you prolly never will.

My brother has an M3 btw

There's actually a difference of 293 euro per year, or 332 if paid quarterly.

this might be a riddiculous question but do wheels all have to be the same size for the NCT?

E.G. could i have two matching 15" wheels and tyres on the rear and two matching 14" wheels on the front?

    That'd be acceptable

Not ridiculous at all. I would think that as long as the wheels and tyres are the same on each axle, you should be ok.

If it were a toss up between a 335i or E46 M3, the 335i wins all day, it's far nicer and I saw a test before and the M3 lost on everything except one, I forget which one though!!!

Drove the 335i and it is indeed very nice. Very refined and makes a great sound. Plenty of poke too. Good few problems with them though afaik. The later one with the oil cooler in the wing is the one to go for if memory serves.

Chrysler Crossfire comes with 18" front and 19" back wheels as standard!

Most 3 litre cars are under the 3000cc mark, bar a few.

in general its an expensive car to run. maybe for some people its not, but in my books it is. tax would be part of it, but not main pillar.

i am poor immigrant bastard, i cant afford nice things! :p

Sorry to ask again but my vxr dampers arrived today, anyone know if they will increase the drop at the rear with Eibach pro kit already on?

If the pro kit you have is for your standard set up, then it will likely not be matched to the VXR shocks. It shouldn't sit any lower though.

The springs are the same according to the lads who did it on Astra owner net. Was hoping it would sit lower :( only got dampers for rear not shocks. Thanks for answer :)

Any development with your battery drain issue?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,234 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

Don't even go these. Thanks to Owen I finally have it pinpointed. It's the steering wheel control interface from connects2 we believe. It's doubling the drain on the battery when plugged in, the radio won't work without it thought so I've no radio still.

I saw a lovely A8 on donedeal over the weekend, 03, 3.7 quattro.

Looked mint as in the photos.

Saw it in Limerick today, it is as mint as it looked.

    Pity it wasn't 2.0 diesel :L

.... not a huge fan of steering wheel controls tbh, can you not just ditch them?

IIRC it was up for 7,900.

Edit: There was about 10k worth of receipts, too.

Edit2: Which was the scary bit, lol.
