I hope the 4C will be RWD as it's more than likely going to be competing with the Toyobaru GT86!

Isn't the replacement for the 159 going to be RWD? Or I am making stuff up again?

No you're not making it up! Alfa have been saying that for about 10 years now but I believe it when I see it :)

Should be good! That Toyobaru is the best looking thing from Japan in a long time, stunning!

after a few concerned days, finally got a good quote on the glanza.

quoteme.ie or something like that :pac:

for me 22 male with a full license and 5 years no claims on a declared turbo glanza they wanted 670...

added my girlfriend to my policy age 20 with 2 years no claims and added her car a 07 1.2 polo and the price dropped to 540...

then i rang them to buy it and they took another 15 off, €525, lovely people :D even if i dont understand how adding more valuble cars and named drivers with less experience reduces a premium.

    :)

    Thats a great quote,

I'm a year your senior and the best I can get is 600e on a shaggin' paddy spec 93 corolla saloon with a non-blown engine :pac:

Also, due to a slight change of circumstances I am thinking of going luxonomics/big power for a few months, anybody got any recommendations? :D

    740i
    gs300

Believe me I'd love a bit of v8 but I don't think the insurance companies would quite agree,

GS doesn't really float my boat tbh.

*Edit* Perhaps I may not be eligible for full-on luxonomics,

But something nice, with power, which may be slightly against the grain

ah i must emphasise thats a bare basics quote, i just wanted a legal disc in the window... thats 3rd party fire and theft, no breakdown cover, no windscreen cover etc.

Someone convince me that €1600 a year isn't bad to spend on car tax!! :(

Depends what you're driving. But no, as long as it provides smiles then 1600 isn't too much. :D

(I mean technically yes, it's ludicrous and a complete rip off, but so is any motor tax over €500 per annum imo)

Would the big engined car keep you sane and happy compared to a smaller engined one? If so your paying €1600 a year for happiness and sanity and thats priceless! ;)

I'm considering other options in case the one I have in mind doesn't work out. Right now, I'm forcing my mind to understand taxing an E46 M3.

Draff, it's a possibility that that tax will drive me to insanity!

    Now you're talking! :)

Sure you could nearly get a straight swap on an E46 M3 with the Mazda. ;)

Fcuk the tax - you only live once. Do it for a couple of years anyhow.

    +1

It was about 20% cheaper for me to insure a 735i V8 than a 523i 6L. Both cars same value, same year, etc.

Lovely car, but you need really nice tight pants to run damn thing.

    Tax
    Insurance
    General running costs

I would love one, but not in this country.

Ah but at least the badge snobs would be happy!
1700 is a stupid amount to pay on tax for a car but if the car is worth it why not. It'll just be horrible when the bill arrives that will drive you insane.
    Any M3 in mind?

Getting into the M3 after paying it will balance it out!

I can assure you, it's far from a badge snob I am ;)

I've been looking at what's on offer but I'm not looking at any in particular because I have to sell my own car first and god knows how long that'll take!

Should have accepted that 9k offer if you ask me. :P
