Derdiyok has joined Hoffenheim but there's a number of useful players in that list.

Caulker is under contract until 2016. Signed a new contract before we sent him on loan to swansea.

Out of that list the ones I'd like to see the most at the lane are LLorente,Błaszczykowski and Huntelar, maybe Honda too.(This considering budget and who I think we could actually attract)

Newcastle seem to have made a bid for FC Twente striker Luuk de Jong. The rumours on Twitter mention £8 million as being the offer.

Unfortunately it looks like the Jong Il-Gwan deal is dead in the water at this stage.

Huntelaar for Pool please! I don't see them getting £17.5M for him though...
Won't pretend we can get Llorente.

Another reason why Sturridge might be available. Hard to see him signing a new deal if he doesn't think he can get his game (which seems unlikely with the signings they are making). So either they cash in now, or he moves on a very profitable free in 12 months.

And Giroud to Arsenal, to add to Podolsky. They are starting their summer well, but I wonder it they are buying to replace RVP?

Sky are saying Chelsea have had a bid for Victor Moses rejected.

Sky also say Newcastle had a 4 mill bid for Debuchy turned down.
I'd say Lille will be looking for closer to 10 million.

    Daily Fail strikes again

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2161459/Mathieu-Debuchy-Paris-St-Germain-reject-Newcastles-4million-bid.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
Newcastle have been rebuffed in their £4million bid to tempt Mathieu Debuchy from Paris St Germain after boss Rudi Garcia laughed off their offer.
The France right-back has impressed during Euro 2012 against England and Ukraine and was expected to join the Magpies after the tournament.
But Garcia has dismissed Newcastle's bid, claiming they must have made an offer for the wrong player as the figure was so low - the cash-rich club are believed to want at least £6m.

Poor old Newcastle can't catch a break. Lille knocking them back only adds to the pain of the "will he, won't he" transfer saga that is Jong II Gwan!

Assuming that Ashley will let them spend! They surely can't keep finding bargains like Tiote, Cabaye and Ben Arfa...

The mail, they said PSG rejected a bid for Debuchy, despite the fact that he plays for Lille.

They were calling PSG "the cash rich club" because they are.

They clearly mean Psg as the cash rich club even though they messed the whole article up .

This guy must have read it as Newcastle were the cash rich club .

to which i replied this to correct him .

I see no reason for your confused smilie at all .

Read the article you posted ffs.
The mail called him a PSG player.

The mail thought he played for PSG.

Pavel Pogrebnyak signing a 4 year deal with Reading on the twitter machine. Great signing for them if true

That's exactly my point in saying the daily mail got it wrong again.
Less of the ''ffs'' as the reason I posted the article is to show the mail fcuked up.
I highlighted in bold they said he's a PSG player and quoted my previous post saying he's a Lille player.

Yes i know that the whole article is messed up . Garcia is the Manager of Lille i know .

Whoever wrote it got his facts arse about face .

Dickerty must have mistakenly read that Newcastle were the cash rich club otherwise this made no sense whatsoever

Im pretty sure Seaneh understands anyway .

I did indeed. I knew it was Lille, so I read it as Newcastle being cash rich!

Pinched from the chelsea thread - thanks to smuckers

Rumour on Twitter from Agent007ITK (who some people seem to trust)
"I've been informed that Daniel Sturridge will be staying at Chelsea after being assured he will be given more opportunities as a striker." Very interesting if true.

Maybe, it's an easy rumour to make up though :P

I agree, what's with people using expletives like this and "GTFO" to respond to people. Really irritates me.

    why would you though?

Messi to Chelsea is a good make up one.
An existing chelsea player signing an extension isnt

Why does anyone make up transfer rumours :P

Sturridge could well leave, and the fact he has 1 year left makes it more likely.

The story of him playing as a striker is feasible as Torres would be first choice and he hasn't made the position his own yet.

I like the way you think. With Drogba gone and Torres likely to start up front on his own, if\when he doesnt score, he only has to look at the bench and see the bloke who outscored him last season! ;)

Inter also had a bid rejected but he wants to go to Newcastle anyway. Cabaye is his best friend. Would be some signing for Newcastle, ten fold improvement on Simpson.

Any truth that they have smashed their wage structure to get him? £60,000 a week apparently. Could go very, very wrong.

EDIT - £65,000 a week according to The Sun.

Haven't Reading got new owners that are from Russia?
