    You'd have to wonder where the Brazilian clubs are getting the cash to pay these salaries.

    With the Brazilian economy the way it is, things like TV deals, merchandise sales and most importantly, sponsorship, have all blown up.

    The big clubs jersey sponsorship is on par with a lot of big European clubs. Corinthians earn more than Chelsea, Newcastle and Spurs. Sao Paulo earn around €11m per year from it. Companies also contribute to the wages of a lot of the big players, like Luis Fabiano, Neymar, Ganso, Liedson etc.

    They are throwing money at the game.
