So Dortmund have confirmed what everyone already seemed to know that Kagawa wont be signing a new contract, now let the rumour mill kick into overdrive.

Reckon it will be United he signs for. Hazard and himself seem to be the priority targets and Hazard far more likely to pick City.

Very curious to see what happens at Valencia this summer. Likely to get some money in for Alba and also a number of players will probably be released. I think the club is finally in a position again where players don't need to be sold to balance the books.

It's rumoured that Guardado for free from Depor is a done deal. My ideal signings would be Debuchy, Borja Valero and a striker.

I just don't see how Man Utd can sign Hazard if City are really interested in him. Maybe City aren't interested in him but he is interested in them which is making him come out with all this stuff about playing in Manchester as he wants a move to the blue side. If City want him they will get him as they did with Nasri last year. They basically doubled the wages Utd were offering.

Hazard will defo go to City, from his point of view look at it.

    Unreal money and league champions.

Could you blame him? Even though he seems like a Nasri type of guy.

I have long since come to accept when City and United both want a player, City will get him. I would just rather at this stage it was confirmed where he was going so we could know and move on...

if United are close to signing Kawaga, I can't see them signing Hazard or Gaiten as well although they can both play on the left aswell I suppose with kawaga more of a withdrawn striker

tbh id agree with you and would expect Kagawa at Utd instead of Hazard should things go as they seem but perhaps a player like Hazard would pick Utd over City. He will never get as much at Utd but if they pay him as big as they can (Rooney must have a decent contract atm) he could still pick them. Still dont think Utd will come close enough to what City can offer though especially given the big transfer fee though and it will be Kagawa whom could be as good for united (will hazard start every game at City).

For me, at United, Hazard could become a God. He'd earn money slower but in the long term he would become one of our key players.

At City, he will get a lot of money quickly but be one of many.

    Short term vs long term.

I can understand why he would choose City for those reasons though.

I got an odd sense of Deja Vu there as tbh this seems a little like the Nasri conversation im having in the Arsenal thread now except id imagine people expect Hazards star has the potential to sign much more brightly.

I have a question.what happens nasri if city sign hazard?

He gets to sit on the bench most of the time with his 200k, or he will be loaned to Spurs to shove the **** right back in the bitter Arsenal fans faces.:D

That's what they need though, United surely have enough wingers.

Back when Nasri was moving, I argued the same points as well tbh. I would argue them be it a young up and comer or someone established like Snijder...

They used to say Nasri was the next Zidane although to be fair he never embraced that side of things.

I don't think Hazzard will be the next Zidnne either or come near to Zidane's quality, which goes to show average players these days can command massive salaries and transfer fees far in excess of what they are worth.

Hazzard is a good player in an average league.

Multiple factors. Lot of unrest at the club. Selling their players summer upon summer, remember Marseille used to be like Lyon when it came to selling their players. Very stubborn and hard to deal with, but they are in some financial difficulties these days afaik. They'll now be without Champions League football too. Also support for Deschamps is dwindling, lot of people are losing patience with his tactics which many consider over cautious plus some really average to poor buys haven't helped.

Could be a clearout there in the summer. The likes of Remy, Ayew brothers, Mandanda and M'Bia could all be on their way out. Valbuena I remember reading somewhere signed a new contract recently but besides him, a good few players have not.

Pretty much this, with three heads pulling in different directions, as usual. Top brass decided during the summer to get rid of all the high earners and buy in cheap replacements. They know they'll never be able to compete with PSG any more for the big foreign players and the domestic starlets they've been used to hoovering up are not so keen to go to Marseille any more. The de facto policy of selling one big name player to the big leagues hit a snag as they had nobody worth selling. Plus they pissed away a load of cash on poison like Gignac who's just an unsellable, useless, unmanageable money sink.

he just won Player Of The Year for 2nd year in a row
so i think he is more than just a good player

In fairness, how many players have come anywhere near Zidane from any league since?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
