Best Onion rings in christendom are in Pipers Take Away in Portrane, Co.Dublin, massive slices of spanish onion, dipped in a think batter and deep fried.
Give it about 4 mins to cool down to the point that you don't need an asbestos esophagus and there are a culinary delight.
    Bliss....
A couple of deep fried sausages and a bottle of Coke and I am a happy happy man :)

Bought Contra 3 [US]. No ghey alien 'bots for me, no siree. Unboxed & loose, but hey, it's Contra

    Not actual cart*

    Master of the Universe

I can literally see it bursting at the seams with mode 7 effects :pac:

They must have used some kind of reinforced plastic for the clamshell.

The reinforcements are there purely to contain the absolute awesomness of the game. Without a doubt, one of the top SNES games of all time.

Saturn RGB Scart cable arrived. Wow that picture looks better, even the boot screen looks notably better.

I can see why SLGs are popular for Saturn owners.

Picked up my prize this evening for that work thing I won.
PS Vita 3G and a bunch of games and a 16GB mem card. Not bad for guessing how many marbles were in a jar :D (1587 and I guesstimated 1585).

I'll stick up a pic later even though it not exactly retro :pac:

Sounds like an "educated" guess to me! ;)

I bet there was some math involved!

Just a little bit in my head. Worked out roughly how many we're on the bottom level and extrapolated from that. More or less what everyone was trying to do.

    Very nice Steve-o, fair play!

It's kind of sad in a way that all those boxes contain are glorified SD cards though. :(

I guess it could be worse, there could be no game at all inside there, and just a slip of paper with a download code on it.

Yeah, at least the cases are nice
Not used it much but so far it seems the same as the Jap version I bought on launch day over there.

Nothing special, a few random games to keep Darius II company

    202587.jpg

    Got Darius II online

Found Sidepocket in a charity shop hidden among a massive wall of VHS and the 3 other carts in a car boot sale,
Only a couple euro for the rare novelty to find MD games for sale outside the interwebs... The joys of being west of the Shannon :D

    No problem.
    • From here
    • Cost (including PnP) was a few cent over €15
    • Bought it on the 18th, arrived on the 26th (day before yesterday) at my door (in Dublin).
    • Cables length is about 1 meter.
I was apprehensive of spending money that could be spend on games on a cable, but seeing the difference in picture quality I can't think of anything else I could buy at a €15 price point for a Saturn that'd feel like money better spent.

    Highly recommended.

Just posting up what I got over the last 3 weeks or so, hope the images aren't too big

    Buster + Doom
    2506ohg.jpg

Super Aleste, Super R-Type, Batman returns, Zombies ate my neighbours
    23j62j4.jpg

Secret of Evermore, Illusion of Gaia, Contra 3, Rockman/Megaman X
    zssup0.jpg

    Secret of Mana
    35asqr7.jpg

When I started collecting I didn't think I'd be spending so much $$, its pure addictive evil :p The worrying thing is I've got 40 games but I can still name games like Sunset Riders, SFA2, Turtles in Time, Chrono Trigger, Axelay, Ghouls N Ghosts etc etc off the top of my head that I need to get.
