I really feel the term alien scum should of been used somewhere on one of them.

Ah ffs man. Really sorry to be hearing this. :(

It definitely seems to be an unlucky day for post, with 2 A&R breakages in the one day.

Did they charge 40 quid sterling for postage in the end?

You'd have expected them to do a good job on it ffs.

What the hell are we looking at there, any other pics?

Looks like the front of console where the speaker is, and where the control is usually docked. :(

I'll take a few now, it powers but joysticks don't seem to work and there are bits rattling around inside, i'll take a better look after work. just in a box actually smaller than the vectrex itself. wraped in a sheet of bubble wrap and a black sack!

Jesus christ that's atrocious! Was that an ebay purchase or something? Defo get your money back on that.

My shipment of various batteries arrived today so I stuck a CR2032 in the Pocketstation and fired it up.

After setting the time and date I now just need to figure out what this small manga girl needs from me?

So, fairly vanilla Japanese sex in the grand scheme of things.

Argh no! That poor Vectrex :(

Is it just cosmetic or will it power on?

I was playing my vectrex during the week and it broke again. Far worse this time. The image is totally skewed away to the top right corner.

Fingers crossed it just needs a cap kit.

Ok, so far I've figured out the Pocketstation has the following features:

    1. Clock(date, time, alarm and all that stuff)
    2. Timer(stopwatch and countdown)
    3. Calculator
    4. Multi system remote control(TV, Sat, VCR)
    5. TV kill button(seems to turn off any tv)
    6. A Girl (she talks, eats, sleeps and complains a lot. So an accurate simulation of a girl then )
    7. Game Save viewer (you can look at your game saves on the card as well as the game save icons)

And of course you can load mini games from certain Playstation games.

    Edit:

    Technical Specs:

    CPU : ARM7T (32 bit RISC Processor)
Memory : SRAM 2K bytes & Flash RAM 128K bytes
    Graphics : 32 x 32 dot Monochrome LCD
Sound : Mini Speaker (12 bit PCM) x 1 unit
    Switches : 5 input buttons + 1 reset button
    Infrared : Bi-directional (IrDA based)
    LED : 1 indicator
Battery : Lithium battery (CR 2032)
    Other functions : Calendar & Identification #
    Dimensions : 64 x 42 x 13.5 mm (L x W x H)
    Weight : Approx. 30g (w/ battery)

Apparently after 11pm is bedtime for small manga girls.

Right, that's the last you'll see of this thing(until the white one arrives).

She's only sleepy that soundly because she doesn't know about you shoving that raspberry thing up that poor Game Boy's hoo hoo.

If she knew the alarm would be ringing non-stop until you get angry enough to skin her like you'd a few chapters to yourself in a Hannibal book.

Just lined myself up a Turbo Express for next week from AO. It's had a cap kit installed so no dodgy sound or video on it :)
I've wanted one of these for a while now. Even though its not the PC Engine GT version i still want it.

Is that little bubble thing by where her nose should be meant to be a snot or something?

Or it is it just used when someones asleep?

I noticed this in Katamari Damacy too, in the first house you're in, there's a girl sleeping at the table and she has a white whistle shaped thing hanging from her nose!

It's just a little anime trope that pops up in lots of different things. Always presumed it was simply breathing air through one's nose.

And a black sack tied over it! It was manky dirty, and the games look like they have been in the toilet :) I've mailed him through ebay so just gotta wait. Seems to be working fine, all parts are there all be it one bit trapped inside. Games sometime crash to, carts might need to be cleaned though!

After treatment that harsh, I wouldn't be comfortable keeping that Veccy. Who knows what else might have been damaged & on the verge of failure? Refund fodder tbh.

Terrible experience though, buying a collectible like that & seeing it in pieces.

Sorry to hear about the wreck Vectrex, I'd be livid..

Got a Jamma harness for the MVS board, quickly attacked it with the soldering iron just to test it out and spent the rest of evening playing it :)

Needs a bit of work to properly consolise it though but for now the mass of trailing wires will have to do.

@Safetyboy: That's the worse packaging I've ever seen holy crap sorry to see that man! About as bad as pyongyang's folded up Virtual Boy box or that pizza box CathalDub got a pcb in. Shocking stuff.
