Two 2 year old heifers, one shapey thick kind of a heifer and the other one is unnaturally growthy but a bit plainish , shes going to be huge and I should have calved her as a 2 year old. Both bought as weanlings. Would be interested to know which ye would prefer for breeding.

Disclaimer first: It's shocking hard to tell from a picture, back breeding, milk etc would come into it and the real proof will be seen when both have a few calves.
Now just going on the pic: I'd go with the first heifer. Deeper chest, body and more hindquarter. I'd be thinking she'll make a good thick cow that produces thick shapey calves. A bull with a bit of growth and you could be laughing!

True, it's hard to tell from a pic, bought in so your guess is as good as mine on the milk front. There is a huge difference size wise between them. I thought the same as you when I bought them and their price reflected that but now I'm not so sure, all the shape in the world isn't much good without growth.

Haha, I think I'd be laughed out of it.

"You want us to invest in buckets with holes in them, Mr Galway?" "I'm out!"

If a person could make a neat little stand there's room for 6 teats on one of those buckets.

It'd make a better job if I had an insulated vessel inside the bucket, would keep the milk warmer longer. The teats have like a little pipe attachment on them and once the height difference was right between the vessel and teat it'd work. They make commercial versions like the shepardess I think it's called.

Cows in to get their feet done earlier. First calf is a WTB heifer, one I have shown earlier here, rounding up well so may be on the show circuit this year. Second is our sectioned bull, same sire.

    Yes you should!
You didn't fail. You succeeded in proving that the quad with a trailer wont cross that drain.
Try it without the trailer for the crack.

i got the trailer off eventually but i still couldnt come out, seemed like body of quad was just sitting on bank, had no traction, i think if i tried without trailer to begin with i might have made it

How do you find KFY, a friend of mine is after buying a pedigree FBX heifer and has apostle straws in the pot but the breeder he bought her off reckons newry is really doing the business at the moment, he has very good figures anyway.

Using the powerbox to fill some shores with stone.

Ordinary box wouldn't be up to it. Just using it for carrying arouind fencing items ;)

Id go with KFY myself on FBX, he should bring a bit of size and plenty off milk into the mix. (not having seen the hiefer but FBX usually bred medium sized thick cattle)
