H'mm tough one to call really, Padraig Harrington is a 3 time major winner, there are those who say that BOD is an overrated prima dona who rules the roost at Leinster and wouldn't move to France because he knew he'd be made play every week.

rory mc elroy has exceeded harringtons achievments already

BOD is a true winner in every sense ,on and off the field , his hunger , drive and ambition is stagering , only in ireland would he get knocked and i say that as someone who doesnt particulary like rugby all that much

Padraig Harrington is not a sportsman, though.

    And that's no controversial opinion!

Nordie boy has 1, Padraig has 3, 1<3, ergo, he hasn't.

    give it time

sonia o sullivan was completley dominant in her event for a few years in the nineties , i once saw her share the stage with michael johnson at the end of the gran prix season , she was the top performing female athlete of the year in track and field in either 95 or 96 , her performances at the olympics were a disapointment despite the fact that she has a silver

Rory may very well do so at some point in the future but he hasn't yet eclipsed Harrington's achievements in my eyes.

With BOD i think your buying a bit too much into the green tinted Irish media propaganda machine.

History will be the judge of this.

Going on the Masters today it seems Padraig is currently in the lead.

Will either of them ever match Nick Faldo's record?

    Very unlikely.

Jack Nicklaus has the major record of 18 and it may never be broken. Although I do think Rory could get close if he keeps developing as a player in the right way. He's a tremendous young talent.

Overrated imo, you or I would have saved that penalty. Don't forget he put us out with his parry in the next game against Italy, he subsequently cost us in the USA 4 years later.

As tremendous as Tiger Woods? I think not.

Maybe not we'll see in time, I don't see Tiger bettering the 18 record with the way he's playing at the moment though.

My unpopular opinion: I believe people who eat meat and fish are selfish, horrible pricks.

It's easily possible these days to live a healthy life without consuming animals and putting them through the pain and suffering involved in modern intensive farming.

Go tell it to the lions and the wolves and the bears.

I don't know if this is true or not but I am sure there is some truth that many people were inbreding in Mayo among other counties? but this it known to have happen in other counties aswell. When I was growing up I used to hear people saying this about mayo people are 'strange' that the county is known for that. If people want to marry their cousins it's their own choice, am I am just wondering if this is true or not I wouldn't say I have an option on it but I don't think it's right biologically and genetically but people can do what they want too aswell.

Your right its not genetically desirable at all. My mother has told me stories that certain 'hill people' families in the Slieve Bloom mountain range in south Offaly also partook in inbreeding.

Yea there are genetical disorders associated with inbreeding. Travellers are known marry their cousins. I was watching a documentary about travellers and statistics show that traveller men die younger than non traveller men in Ireland, this be due to interbreeding among other reasons

Yes because we will also die if we don't hunt, catch, torture, kill and eat animals  Ridiculous comparison.

    I hate people.

Social media has made people stupider and less dependant on individual research.

What's that? A slickly edited video about <insert topic here>.....................why, it must be true..................

And people or "protesters" who call others "Sheeple" deserve a smack in their condescending faces. Way to alienate others by thinly-veiling them as stupid while at the same time painting yourself as one who has climbed out of the box and can see from the outside in.

Well done, I'm glad with your Neo-esque skills and disconnecting yourself from "the grid" you've made the world a better place.....

Though I have considered giving up meat on a few occasions I'd say you could work on your phrasing there.
As a matter of genuine interest, how do you feel about native tribes people who rely on animals for survival?

We're just relaying information we have. Incest has occurred and still is occurring in all different parts of the world.

I was comparing the young Tiger to the young Rory!

    Jack is without peer ;)
