No it's a Mitsubishi unit and also it doesn't have the swirl flap issue.

It's a much more reliable unit

As Colm says the turbo is not the same.
Gophur used to maintain the engine was substantially different but he never elaborated when asked to. The actual engine is the same, they were always CR in the 75 though.

Just got the tracking done and turns out what i thought was a leaking shock is actually a split cv boot. Got quoted 100e all in? Id like to do it myself with my buddy though.

There's a bit of labour unless they are using a glue up/bolt up CV boot, if doing it yourself I'd use a bolt up one, no way would I bother otherwise, €100 well spent if you want an actual conventional boot on it.

Just looking at these on Autotrader, never knew there was a 4.6L V8 version. Despite the gaping mouth (seems to have been a distinguishing feature), still looks attractive. I wonder how many of those were sold, clearly none in Ireland, I'd say.

Depending on the drive shaft a lot of the universal boots will go over the CV with the proper tools. A CV boot is a ten to fifteen minute job on most cars.

Just washed the megane (with all my new stuff from halfords) after scrubbing the wheels. It was all spotless and looked smooth as anything. Then I used the drying towel and felt how rough it actually is.
