tbf they're not really easter eggs. Its more setting up a realistic map to portray south california.

that was posted on GTAforum.net or whatever it's called some time ago. Lot of Yanks especially those in the SoCal area reckon Palm Springs (which is east of LA) will feature heavily based on the desert like scenes more so than Mexico border areas.

Renowned as a getaway place of sorts for the rich and established in California.

So long as LS is at highest point of the map and they'll be bringing the remainder of SA as DLC I'll be happy. Though with the work involved I don't see it happening...

Go back and look at the information blackout that occurs after the first trailer for vice city, San andreas, IV... This is nothing new at all. Rockstar are the masters of keeping things in house

Yeah we wont hear any more info til after Max Payne release. Rockstar even said so in a roundabout way, anyway I though as much.

@Hogzy: I wouldn't be surprised. Although, they're not easter eggs it's just Rockstars attention to detail.

For example. Algonquinn in GTA IV is the fictional name for Manhatten which was and indian colony originally. The indians that colonised that region spoke Algonquin or something to that effect. Rockstar don't just pick random names for places. There's always a great reference to the real world.

EDIT: BTW, who's who on GTAforums? I've been hanging around there since '04

I'm on GTA Forums, too (as I'm sure ye've all figured out). I don't do a lot of posting (unless there's something to actually discuss other than speculation) but I read up on it a lot.

I know a lot of people on here aren't on there or don't bother visiting, so it can be handy to post anything interesting from there over to here, so boardsies who don't want to trawl through another forum can take a quick mooch.

For example, there's a new GTA V gameplay footage video out, by the same guy that did the last one. It's not genuine, obviously, but he does a great job on them, in fairness.

Its amazing really or extremely geeky or both just how so many people come together to dissect a trailer and what they discover. The anticipation for this game is immense.

There's no way they'd make a new game for the PS2 called GTA V. Essentially it would be a different game. It's already pushing the limits of current gen consoles. There's even talk of it being next-gen (Wii U)

This is making no sense, where I am coming from in Bangalore, India I can tell you 99% of people is only using playstsation2 or some poorer only playstation1. Only ever once was seen a ps3, and that was my cousins friend Shraveesh gobindi, who was in a student trip to paris france, and buy it there.

When these gta5 is relese, what will we do if only having playstation2?

Save up for a PS3 or Xbox 360... or even build a PC capable of running it.

I'm really surprised no one's mentioned Project Durango? The internet went crazy last week after someone from Bestheda games or something said on twitter they were attending a summit discussing Project Durango...it was practically confirmed that this is Microsoft's next generation xBox.

Can't see Rockstar missing out on hundreds of millions by making it for the next generation of consoles while alienating the current generation. Unless they port it to the next gen. Even at that, it would be a nearly pointless exercise considering the number differences between 360/PS3 owners and potential 720/PS4 owners.

I can almost guarantee that GTA V wont be on next Gen consoles. Next Gen consoles havnt even been announced yet. And considering GTA are usually one of the best selling games, there is no way rockstar will make that game available ONLY to a minority who have bought the next gen consoles.

The next gen console would want to be out for at least 2yrs before Rockstar would consider releasing the game on that platform.

Its about Maximising profits!

When i refer to next gen consoles im talking about Playstation 4's. PS3's are current gen consoles that are aging. The computer gaming market is aimed at people in developed countries. Unfortunatly for you, Computer games developers probably dont even know you exist as a customer.

Just save up and buy a PS3
