    More fools they.

Though that said, I buy Fifa every year :P
At least they do have an excuse for sports games as their following the real world. COD is just a money making racket as far as I'm concerned.

Unfortunately it seems the industry is going down the COD route very quickly though. Look at Assassin's Creed, flogging the sh1te out of it until it becomes stale and recycled.

In fairness, you have to hand it to R*, they could easily bring out a GTA game every year, but only release GTA games that they're happy with, not rushed get-it-out-the-door jobs.

It won't last, unfortunately big corporate businesses have no inventive flare, once something becomes popular they latch onto it and ride it for all it's worth. That trend will get boring and the big guys will start following the next big thing.

R* are great, I wouldn't even mind if they brought out more DLC, I love the GTA world and wouldn't mind spending much more time in it doing just about anything, but I suppose that's what makes the games great, they leave you wanting more rather than leave you feeling violated.

I honestly don't think we'll see anything until after the release of Max Payne. They'd don't exactly need to build up hype for a GTA game in fairness.

Sorry for the bump, but didn't think it was worth a new thread since its related to this game in a way.

Playing San Andreas through again and just hit the massive speed bump that is the flying school. I hope to fcuk they leave that out this time around, or at very least have it as optional instead of required. I already have my pilots licence but can't go any further presumably until I finish the school

The ONLY thing I hated about the game, leave it out this time and it'll already be better as far as I'm concerned.

I've never finished SA due to the flying school. Never got past the "Circle Airstrip" test.

ended up just having to watch all the other missions on youtube.

I did it before, but it took weeks. I got lucky with the circle airstrip last night, but the next one you have to do the same again and land it. I did it first go, but was 5% under the required score!!!!! Haven't reached the landing part again yet and ended up getting annoyed so got a tank and went killing people instead :D

Zero's missions were annoying too, but optional so I don't mind that. Only have side missions like fire truck and photos left to do as everything else is done until I pass this fcuking flying school.

After watching one of them and your man's flying is perfect, mine does be all over the shop. Up and down, left and right, even upside down if I turn too sharply :o

Ive been going the opposite direction, wonder if that makes any difference.

Unlocking the Hunter when you get all the gold medals makes the effort worthwhile..

Yeah I had started playing SA recently for a few hours a night but since I came up against that I havent played it in about a month. Bloody annoying.

I never found the flying school too difficult. Though I did spend days learning to fly the Dodo in GTA3 so I could get to the ghost town behind Shoreside Vale. Getting all gold medals is tough, but just completing it isn't that difficult is it? I can barely remember it now

It is hard, especially when you find the driving mechanics of the game to be difficult to manage at high speeds :pac:

Don't forget to use the rudder. It can make maneuvering an awful lot easier.

Word on the street is Max Payne has been pushed back to may.
Shame, means gta will be 2 months at least further away.

Not necessarily. AFAIK R* North have nothing to do with Max Payne 3, so GTA will be developed in the same time that it would have yesterday.

Yeah they are seperate but they still come under the one parent. That parent company will want both games to maximise their profits.

True. And by delaying MP3 they've ensured that it'll get maximum profits because it won't be clashing with Mass Effect anymore. I've said since the start that we'd be lucky to see GTAV any sooner than July/August, so I don't see R* deciding that (if GTAV actually was meant to be released in July/August) it's not now gonna be released until October/November just because MP was delayed.

If anything, this probably is good news for GTAV, as there'll be a big hole in R*'s sales for their current year (ending Mar 31), so they'll be eager to get GTAV out before the end of this calendar year I'd imagine.

I don't see this as good news. Take two won't release the game at the same time as Bioshock 3 either which is out before the end of this year, Bioshock + GTA + COD + whatever else is coming out in the same window leaves the market saturated. My guess is that we won't see the game till early 2013.

It's not so much a concern for GTA though, more for all the other games.

I can't see Rockstar being too worried about when to release GTA. Even if released during the October/November rush I can still see it selling out and also out selling almost every other title.

That's too far away to start taking an interest now.
