Great unsolved mysteries of the world, No 14,785,938:

Where does the supposedly "impartial" BBC get its Question Time audience from?

The weekly BBC show Question Time, in which a panel of politicians, celebrities, journalists, religious leaders etc discuss current events, tours the country. Each episode is broadcast from a different UK town or city and the audience supposedly comes from that town or city.

But what amazes me is that, even when broadcast from a staunch Tory area, the audience always manages to be full of loony Labour, LibDem or Green lefties whose behaviour during the show is disgusting. Never an episode goes by in which a Tory politician or anyone else believed to be right-wing cannot get a word in edgeways without being booed and jeered incessantly by the audience, even when what he says is totally right and may have the support of the majority of the British people.

Thurday night's episode was particularly annoying, with those advocating - as most of the British people do - that vile terrorist Abu Qatada be kicked out of Britain and sent back to his native Jordan where he is wanted on charges of terrorism being met with a barrage of boos and condescending laughter by the lefty crowd.

Of course extra-special abuse was saved for Philip Hammond and Ann Leslie, probably because the former is a Tory and the latter writes for - shock horror - the Daily Mail. The amount of abuse these two received from the mainly lefty crowd when advocating their beliefs that Qatada be kicked out of Britain was, frankly, disturbing.

But was especially riled me was that poor old Ann received a lot of abuse not just from the crowd but from two members of the panel, Labour scumbag Alistair Campbell and the "actor" and champagne socialist Steve Coogan, no doubt picked for the panel by the "impartial" BBC because of their known hatred of the Daily Mail. And it worked, with Ann receiving a mouthful of abuse by Coogan who, in the process of doing so, attacked her newspapers as a "rag." And why did he do this? Because she had the audacity to say that she believed vile terrorist Qatada be kicked out of the country.

Campbell also couldn't resist abusing Ann and her newspaper, even when replying to questions that had nothing to do with the newspaper or the press. During the show he stated that one reason he hated the Mail was because it prints a load of rubbish. However, I was impressed when Ann fought back, telling Campbell that he cannot go on about any newspaper being full of lies when he was the author of the dodgy dossier.

But, of course, the left-wing audience pitched in with their share of vile abuse, with one audience member explaining how he hates the Daily Mail, despite the topic under discussion being about Abu Qatada and not the Daily Mail.

The audience even clapped and cheered when one of the audience members advocated "taking Health Secretary Andrew Lansley outside to be shot." She was obviously sort of referring to the time when Jeremy Clarkson said that "the strikers should be taken outside and shot", comments for which he was forced to apologise for by the left.

So, I will also again. Where does the "impartial" BBC get its Question Time audience from?

The way that if you make small changes in any of quite a few cosmological constants / ratios then the universe won't be able to support intelligent life.

Sighting of him in Lisdoonvarna a while back
Before the Chieftains could start to play,
Seven creamy pints came out on a tray.
Shergar was ridden by Lord Lucan,
Seán Cannon did the backstage cookin'.

which came first the chicken or the egg?

Easy and obvious, the chicken came first, you couldn't expect God to sit on an egg for 6 months.

which came first the chicken or the egg?
    Egg.

Eggs have been around for hundreds of millions of years.
By some definitions maybe billions of years.

A few thousand years ago a Jungle Fowl laid an egg from which hatched a Chicken.

They are intelligence services communications to agents in the field.

This was actually confirmed (in a sort of roundabout way) by a British intelligence spokesman some years ago.

This creature was encountered by a group of men on a geology expidition. The male and female creature attacked them by throwing excrement at them. The male was shot and placed on a crate. Interestingly out of an expedition of 20 only four remained alive after encountering natives or diseases. Skeptics say its a spider monkey but Researcher Michael Shoemaker, while noting some similarities to spider monkeys, argues that the creature has a few pronounced differences: its chest and hands are different; its face is much more oval than the spider monkey's distinctively triangular visage; it lacks the spider monkey’s pronounced underbite; and has a much higher forehead than spider monkeys.

Once my friend was having a really personal, quiet house party for her birthday. Everyone she invited was a close friend and everyone knew each other at the party. My best friend and I, naively, left our cameras on the table that was in the room of the party and the next morning they were gone. We all searched the place for ages looking for them, but they had definitely been stolen. We always wonder who took them, chances are the person who took it was even in the pictures I took that night on my camera. To this day we still have no idea. It isn't the best unsolved mystery, but it is my most personal one!
