sounds awfully fast to me. you got talking, exchanged numbers, added her on facebook all in two days? eek. I dunno, if it suits the two people involved then fine, but it's terribly full on for my liking.

Then I added her to facebook.

What she forgot to mention was that her profile pictures are over a year old and she has since gained 4 or 5 stone  It came as a complete shock, I felt betrayed.

Maybe there is a valid reason for guys to ask girls to add them to FB.

    Anyways..............

    Back to online dating.

Lads I may have cracked the "Meet me" thing where you are told that someone wants to meet you, you send a message and they don't reply.

If I'm looking through that function I never press Yes, it's either Maybe or No. I got a nice message from a guy tonight and I asked how did he find me as I'm hidden. And he said he was notified that I clicked yes to "meet me". So Maybe means YEs!

I think that if you pay for the extra features, the ones that say maybe are visible to you.

Ok, this must be some kind of record, of the pathetic variety. I sent 100 messages on POF - yes, you read correctly 100, and I got 3 replies... wtf like?

Actually, I stopped counting at 100, it's probably even higher. I'm no George Clooney, but I don't have a face like a bag of hammers either. Every message was different, no cut and paste jobs, no 'hi -how r u?'.

They weren't particularly long, but you don't go over to someone in a bar and tell them your life story without interruption, so same deal online I think. Frustrating thing is - like a previous poster said - they didn't even look at my profile. Are they so bombarded with messages that they don't even look at profiles??

Anyhoo... I went on a date with 1 of the people who replied. It was pretty good :)

100 In what time period, you cant have been very selective about who you are contacting, also you got a date that went pretty well so I wouldnt be to hung up on the non replys
