    A travesty of what exactly?

    A travesty of justice?

    A travesty of decency?

I am just curious what exactly it is a travesty of, and why exactly should it deserve a sanction against the club.

    Justice.

The fact alone that they accuse the FA of having it in for Suarez from the start alone will surely land them in hot water. Thats before you even go into the attack on Evra, the Father ted-esque family history and the fact that they rant and rave about the FA's findings while admitting they still have to read the full report.

The only true colours being shown in the last few days have been by LFC in their desire to bizarrely pander to the most militant and dim-witted elements of their support with that statement.

Gordon Taylor is a tool his statement included the line “I understand the point about cultural differences but if you come to this country all players have to abide by not just the laws of the game but the laws of the land as well. Referring to someone’s skin colour has got to be offensive — it’s self-evident.".

The he either doesn't realise, or is will fully ignoring, is that in south america using the word Negro/Negra has nothing to do with skin colour. It's not racial at all, he wasn't refering to Evra's skin colour when he said negro, it's like an irish person saying "buck/boyo/sham/lad/dude/mate/whatever.

The FA and The PFA have royally ****ed up in this one, and everyone (read:united fans) acting like justice has been served and Suerez is some neo-nazi, are ****ing idiots.

A travesty of justice? Methinks you need to get a better grasp of what that actually means Fla. The FA have found Suarez guilty and have put a punishment in place pending appeal of course. Feel free to point out exactly where this travesty of justice that you feel warrants an FA sanction is, and please explain exactly how it is a travesty of justice, because what you just said shows no explain of that.

What you are doing with your "travesty of justice" claim is the exact same pandering to the knee jerkers that you say others are doing. Personally the anti Liverpool and anti Man Utd stuff in this thread is just circle jerk stuff for the usual suspects who don't want to have any kind of sensible debate. Thought you were above that kind of braindead rubbish.

Gordon Taylor, the PFA’s chief executive, who tried to bring the two clubs together in the immediate aftermath of the racism allegation, said the FA was beyond reproach. Taylor said: “This was an independent commission experienced in law and football and they must have had compelling evidence, and it sends out a very strong message to the rest of the world.
“I understand the point about cultural differences but if you come to this country all players have to abide by not just the laws of the game but the laws of the land as well. Referring to someone’s skin colour has got to be offensive — it’s self-evident

This is all that one needs to know about this issue.
Liverpool have a long tradition of playing the victim and re-writing history. Disgrace of a club to be honest. So glad I dont support them.

Well if LFC are to be believed then its not what he said thats the problem its whether he said it at all.......

I said it would be a travesty of justice if they didn't punish Liverpool for the bullsh*t they produced last night.

I fail to see how speaking out about how Liverpool FC have deliberatelty stoked the flames amongst an already frothing at the mouth fanbase is "braindead." Their statement is deeply irresponsible.

Whether it matters or not my personal feeling about it all is that I'm delighted for him after that World cup handball incident. Thierry Henry * 100.

And even at that they are right.

One person claims that he said something, they didn't mention it during the game and nobody else heard it, nobody else complained about it until after the game. The ref didn't caution/send off the player accused. It's Evra's word against Suerez's, which is bull**** enough. The lad is, obviously, not a racist.

It's a bull**** accusation and a bull**** punishment.

You're all over the gaffe here Seaneh, one minute you're arguing that whet he said was fine, now you're doubting whether it was said at all. Get your facts right before you go running your mouth off.

It's a ridiculous situation when the verdict is delivered a month before the evidence.
    A one month wait? Why?

    back in your box, you.

If he said it, it wasn't racist.
Even if he'd called Evra a dirty banana eating chimp, it was one persons word against another.

The fact that Evra waited until AFTER the game to even bring it up, to me, screams bull****.

Intent... did him or Henry know the outcome when they did it? Also the stage of with it is done and what was at stake was a lot bigger. Why question this anyways? Will I reduce the number to 50 times, 25 times, 2 times? Figure of speech when someone says 100 times worse.

I'll rephrase so "it was a lot worse". I don't mean to derail the thread, I was (probably wrongly) stating my feelings on the guy and what comes around goes around.

I'm not sure of this, but didn't he complain to the referee during the game? He definitely had a hissy fit about something when the clashed

    Well which was it?

Or do you think that no matter what actually happened Evra was making it up, based on some dememted idea that complaining after the game equals lies? You're talking sh*te tbh, you haven't a clue.

I thought we got past this pretty basic level of debate about 90 pages ago tbh, you're trotting out lines that the Suarez apologists were throwing out weeks ago....

Just curious, as he is guilty, how can Liverpool stand by him?
I dont understand this at all. This happens in any workplace you be sacked or suspended or punishment but not supported and wearing a tshirt with the guilty persons name and face on it.

Think Liverpool letting the whole kick it out campaign down.
