Last time out he beat 11 to 1 odds, so a three person panel should be a doddle. :D

Great movie - only saw it for the first time last week.

I would like to see two up front with Bellamy and Carroll if the worst happens.

It's depressing how stupid some LFC fans are.

If it was a United/City/Arsenal/etc...player then they'd be doing the same. Theres nothing new here, a teams fans standing up for their player, and some talking nonsense. You'd get it from any fans tbf.

It would be a case of ethnocentrism.

IMO Liverpool fans are slightly worse than the rest TBF. I know all fans are guilty of standing up for their players when they shouldn't but Liverpool have this miss-placed loyalty to their football players it astonishing.

I think this is exceptional in it's stupidity (and that's what my comment was aimed at):

Love how many Mancs are taking the high horse on the Suarez case. Calling someone negro is the same as calling someone caucasian. Or blonde.

I wouldn't expect that from anyone.

Oh sorry. I should've explained myself a bit better. It would be crazy to set the precedent of banning someone for racist comments with absolutely zero proof or witnesses from either side of the event. It would open up all sorts of accusations that would have to be taken seriously even with no proof.

Suarez, whether he meant to insult him or not, was in the wrong and a simple apology followed by Evra and Suarez hugging and shaking hands in front of a camera and it would've all been over there and then. :(

I wonder how many United fans who are on here calling for Suarez's head for making racist comments and how many Liverpool fans who are defending him saying he was misunderstood, would switch their opinions had the jersey's the players were wearing been swapped?

Seriously, has anything conclusive or damning come out as of yet in this case?

Is there a single video clip of the incident where Suarez is heard calling Evra a useless cotton picking ****** that I have missed?

It's up in the air thus far - nothing conclusive has come out yet and it has been two months.
If you have an agenda to push that LFC fans are overly loyal, you've picked the wrong incident with which to make that point, if any.

I really cant see any really strong evidence been present against Suarez cause why would it drag on so long then ?

Why do people think a video clip is needed when Suarez admitted to saying whatever was said ?

But we do have witnesses to this, Evra for one. And if what is to believed from the leaks, Suarez admitted to saying Negro.

So theres two, how many more do you need?

Liverpool also seem to generate a lot of hatred from opposition fans, so somebody who has a chip on their shoulder about the club, and there's a good few on this board eg., will perceive it that way.

Chelsea seem to have a few haters.

As posted in the other thread...it's gone into Fergie time in desperate attempt to get a guilty verdict after he was found innocent in normal time.

He has said he didn't say it 10 times as Evra claimed, according to the Telegraph anyway.

He only needs to say it once to be guilty, if the term is adjudged to be racist.

Who granted the FA the power to decide whether something is racist or not is a mystery.

@thisisanfield Some argentinian players have "Negro" as nickname. Argentinian center back, Fernando Cáceres (24 caps for ARG) in exemple.

@thisisanfield This is ridiculous. I'm Argentinian, and I call my friends 'negrito/negrita' all the time. No one got offended by it.

The way I look at it is, if he said it 10 times well tbh he doesn't have much of a defence, he knew it was winding him up at the very least and persisted. If it was a one of he can say he wasn't aware it was a racist term and its a reasonable enough defence.

I think people are wrong to assume that lip reading of video evidence will even be considered in this case. The Evra vs Chelsea Groundskeeper case transcript was linked in full a while back and, iirc, in that case they never even mentioned lip reading, even though they referred to the video evidence a lot. Things like body language and where people were standing when were all studied on the tapes but no mention of trying to lip read what they said. I don't think it is viewed as a reliable source of evidence. So they will probably just rely on statements from the players.

Luis Suarez doesn't live in South America. He has lived in Northern Europe for five years. It's not acceptable to refer to somebody by their ethnic origin in Holland or England, it's considered racist.

The argument about the word he used and its meaning in South America doesn't work for me.
