Just found out from someone on retro forum, is pretty awful but was only a young fella when it came out, I think the video and vocoder effect stuck in my mind all these years! Some nice shots of Dublin back in the day.

Is there an original song to this? Listen at about 1m30s into it:

Did Coldplay copy this tune for their song 'Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall (2011)'?

BTW, that music is from an episodes of Tales from the Crypt "The Trap (1991)".

They copied this, I think its credited on the album

Edit: Never mind! Just saw that post above

    Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but if anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Was anyone listening to Phantom FM's Pure Morning between 8:30 & 9:00? I caught the end of a song that sounded pretty good but I didn't catch the name. It had a nice, old style quality to it (not a million miles away from the Ravonettes) and was followed by a female caller confirming that Michelle was right about some wedding cake being put in a freezer tradition.

Sorry I don't have any more details :(

Where? There is no area that I can see to do this? It doesn't look like you can post to their wall, only comment on their own entries.

I don't work there but I would post under one of their entries myself.

    Hey there,

I was listen to KC at night on Today FM on Tuesday night and there is a song playing in the background when he is talking.

Its in the listen back section of the website and its Tuesday's night show, part 2 and the music starts playing at 17.13 in the background. If anyone could tell me what it is I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance

Hi. Im Looking for help with a dance song that was released around 1997/98. It had an african sound to it and as far as i know african lyrics. It was a massive dance song at the time and was pretty high in the charts if not number 1. As far as i remember the video had guys and girls dressed as lions. Anyway im hopin someone can remember the name of the song as i need it for a project im working on.
Also this song was used a lot on tv when the 2010 world cup was on in Africa. It also appeared a lot on those Dance compilation albums that were out at the time
If i can get a few suggestions for the name of the song i can check it on youtube.
    Thanks a million

Tried it, no idea.. I'd suggest contacting today fm and asking them if nobody on here knows. Give it a chance first though.

Was listening to XMAS FM and heard a song with these lyrics

"Can you feel it, it's nearly here now, it's nearly christmas time
Ring those bells, shout out loud, Santa getting ready to leave"

Sounded a bit like a Irish choir doing it....i think

Any help if they know it?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I've got a music cassette "mix tape" that I got years ago. I tried playing it recently and the songs were good. I could not recognise one of the songs - I think it's very catchy and I tried various lyric search sites but none of them worked for me.

Based on the other songs, I think its from the early 1990s. It's sung by a female singer. Her voice is soft and the backing (guitars etc.) drown her out in places, probably not helped by the general recording quality/age of the tape itself. It's a little bit in the style of The Cranberries. Anyway, here are the lyrics I could decipher:

Do you remember all the indecisiveness of our embrace,
What you need is a day in the playground,
So climb up and sit down, in the one spot,

    Chorus?
Try not to feel so serious,
    Stop wasting my time,
    No one will find out,
    if i follow my ...

Try not to be so serious,
    stop acting good,
    you're not a little boy,
    cause i swallow my pride,
    ...,

    Chorus?
can i ride that see saw with you,
if you wanted me to, i'd kick off those shoes,
can i ride that see saw with you

I'd be very grateful if anyone could identify the artist and the song....

I heard a song sounding remarkably similiar to we speak no americano by yolanda be cool in diceys last nite.same genre of music bein remixed (same sounding instruments). in fact you could be mistaken for thinking its a remix of no speak ameriicano initially. the lyrics 'same same' are repeated alot in it, if that narrows it down for anyone. any help finding this song would be appreciated!

I know Winter Song by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson was originally released 3 years ago but I'm sure I've heard another song out before then with the same melody/phrasing. It's that part at the start of the verse "This is my Winter Song to you...". It's driving me crazy, In know I've heard it before. I think it was faster with a full drum beat behind it. AAAAAAGH!!!! Am I the only one???
